  1. A .380 is the worst 9mm of all, IMNSHO. - OS
  2. I know the XDM is the newest of the line, but I've spent a good while perusing XDtalk.com, and have never seen that issue mentioned. Just did a couple of searches there, and a general google, and found nothing pertinent. Surely must be extremely rare occurrence, given the XD's overall record of durability. - OS
  3. Sure, but, <Bad Euphemisms> You went off half-cocked. An armed BG would have had battle of wits with an unarmed opponent. You re-defined "safe action trigger". </Bad Euphemisms> Oh well, that's what shakedown cruises are all about. ('course, you could have been shook down). Wow, I crack myself up. - OS
  4. It won't if you don't fan the flames. Yeah, right (I had to make my one little jokie-poo)... - OS
  5. That the Yiddish model by the same folks who make the XD Gear stuff and the UpLula? - OS
  6. You been totin' it for a while now, you say? But you have uneaten Comp-Tac Smarties on keyboard? ! Should we worry about you more than you let on? - OS
  7. We over heah in the hillbilly part would like to see y'all a little more w/ Owl Holler. Shore did enjoy hearin' 'bout that gall durn last go round! - OS
  8. I believe I'd doit toit Congrats... - OS
  9. Yeah, I say take some of the state fee and rebate it to the schools. That's the real economy of the state anyway. Say, school you attended gets a bonus for every year you're not involved in an non-justifiable shooting .. - OS
  10. You seem to miss the point that they already get everything on the form (except the serial number)? Matter of fact, even your SSN is on the certificate itself. - OS
  11. So what's the problem with following up with the info they already get? It's not like you could track half the serial numbers anyway without a full fledged and long drawn out investigation of each one. They can call or write me with what they have. Hell, on further thought, THEY issue the permits - can't they cross reference the names and DLN's to do spot checks or whatever? I mean, looks like they HAVE upgraded past DOS 2.0 now. - OS
  12. I don't even see how ya'll appreciate having it if it doesn't take 3 months, several emails, 3 phone calls, including at least one reproach from HerSelf. - OS
  13. Sweet. Put a home-made light giz on it and call it good. And yeah, maybe mag extension... And of course, you could .... - OS
  14. Wow, you guys in the last month or so have really been SPOILED! - OS
  15. Me too. As long as thief doesn't have a handy cutter. One of those heavy duty hand sized ones would do it. If I wind up using it more than I have (none, so far, only had it couple weeks, and I walk to do 75% of my biz lately), I'm considering bolting it to chassis vertically behind the seat or something. Oh "I think I just duplicated my post in same thread" Shoot
  16. Youse guys are killing moi. It's great, I don't have to crack myself up. - OS
  17. Interesting and quick saga. Just a case of doing badly what need not be done at all? Indeed, SHOULD not be done at all? Kudos to NRA for jumping right on this...I'm impressed, to say the least! - OS

    CZ 52

Them mussels are a tad pricey to be shooting at, seems to me. Here's snippet from what Wiki says about that cartridge: "The cartridge has an average muzzle velocity of around 400 metres per second (1,300 ft/s), and has about 600 joules (440 ft·lbf) of energy. The unusually loud report and bright muzzle flash produced when this cartridge is fired from pistols can surprise onlookers." Sounds like an understatement. What's the deal with this? Really designed to be fired out of longer barrel mostly, or what? SUNTZU, I saw the one you scored at the Expo, now I intrigued - guess I just gotta shoot one! Next meet eh? I'll pay for the ammo. - OS
  19. Of course they are...guy comes in to strafe the crowd, cop's gonna say "sorry, I'm on break". ? Right. - OS
  20. I knew it looked familiar ... sold my Rolls years ago, so I forgot. Yeah, I know the whole thing was doctored...but had never seen it before. - OS
  21. The swiss army cutlery knife just makes it. Also, the flying angel ornament - I think it's actually on the wall, but fits right into the gun's overall motif too! - OS

  23. Sure you'll have gas to get into the country, eh? The 'Boro ain't Memphis. Or Nashville, Ktown, 'Nooga. Where's all this food coming from? Charity orgs' coffers are all 'bout empty NOW. You think the gummit has enough powdered milk and corn meal for 100 million people? Are you expecting steak, too? - OS

    Malls

Ain't posted if you enter through any of the anchor stores. That would be my story and I'd stick to it. - OS
  25. Nah, they're fine. Trouble is, you expend more energy getting INTO them than you get FROM them. Sort of like raw oysters...if I have to open them, I never get full. - OS
