  1. It wasn't me, I swear! Hey, since nobody had to shoot him, you should have tried to score some stuff off him! - OS
  2. I was down there for Christmas, and did NOT hang out there! - OS
  3. Finish on original XDs was not the melonite they use now, either, and yes, many original XDs had rust probs...there's a whole "rust" topic forum on xdtalk. - OS
  4. Oh Shoot

    I need help

You probably have web space on your own ISP, if you'll check how to get to it. - OS
  5. Ya know, there's a sticky section on xdtalk, and in the FAQ's I found: "Is the HS2000 still available in the US or around the world? No new HS2000 pistols are allowed into North Amrica unless SA does it, since they have the importation rights." "I am in the US and have an HS2000 that has something broke what can I do? Springfield Armory will warrent the pistol under their guarantee, but you will have to pay to ship the pistol both ways." http://www.xdtalk.com/forums/latest-hs2000-sa-xd-faq-stickies/671-xd-hs2000-faq-s.html So, a call to Springfield might still bear fruit. Also, FAQ says HS2000 and XD are "identical", so wouldn't an extractor for the original XD service fit HS2000? - OS
  6. Were you original owner? Also, question is about an HS, not XD, so is perhaps not so clear cut. - OS
  7. No firsthand experience, but there are many posts on xdtalk with folks praising Springfield for fixing a XD under warranty, when the person was not the original owner, even though XD warranty does specify warranty to "original retail purchaser". However, does Springfield even have anything at all to do with the HS? Did they import/sell them before they rebranded as XD? At any rate, if no one can give you experience here, a post over there ought to be enlightening. Or even just call Springfield, folks seem to rave about their customer service in general, and apparently you get through to a real humanoid okay on the phone. - OS
  8. JeffSig, I dunno if you consider Knoxville in "your area" up there in Rogersville, but can tell you that JWP on board here from Coal Creek Armory has always responded to my PM's promptly, Monday - Friday biz hours anyway. I suspect he may actually have a life evenings and weekends, though. - OS
  9. Yes, I do. My "does not compute" of course, was when *I* was a kid, not only were there no metric markings on containers, but the big bottles of Coke weren't plastic (yet) either! My first beer needed a church key, too. - Oh "we did have TV, though (sort of)" Shoot
  10. "Old days"..."litre"...does not compute... - OS
  11. I think the drift has become the topic. My first gun was this Remmie Fieldmaster 121 on my 12th Christmas. Still a fine shooter, holds 14+1 LR, feeds and eats any brand I've ever put in it.
  12. HP now makes a "compact"? Guess that means smaller than a breadbox and under 4 pounds? (On dialup today, so didn't go looking) - OS
  13. Time to once again interject, "few good deeds go unpunished." - OS
  14. Well, that's another nice 9mm option too, I guess... - OS
  15. Nothing fancy...just XD 9 Service, which along with a Hi-Point 9mm carbine, will round out the 9mm brunt of the arsenal... - OS
  16. That has GOT to be Center of Mass, sold under Cabela's. Made exactly the same, exact same dimensions. http://www.center-of-mass.com/ COM has holes in bottom, under the foam, to mount. That 29.99 is same as on COM's site for medium ("standard" on Cabela's), but if large is also 29.99 on Cabela's as it indicates, then that's a better deal than COM's price for large. - OS
  17. Just curious re the Glock..not comfy, how? - OS
  18. Oooo, very swishy. Called "bum bags" in England. Very appropriate indeed! - OS
  19. Well, I don't think anything he sells is over about $75, unless you want exotic leather or detail tooling. He does eBay too, whatever models there sometimes a little cheaper, or with free shipping or something. eBay user: dmbullardleather - OS
  20. Package says, "Do Not Bend". Postman says, "Do Too!" - OS
  21. Ah, gotcha... See, yours was sitting, waiting for some "hands on". Anything that doesn't go through on autopilot gets delayed. - OS
  22. There's not any actual cheese in that stuff, is there? - OS
  23. "Memorandum"?? Sounds like add'l info haven't heard from ya ?? - OS
