From the 1979 Daytona 500 that was the first flag to flag broadcast of a NASCAR race on TV till now, NASCAR has been about money. There was still some good racing after '79 but it was a slow progression to get from there to now. In the last 10 years that progression has really picked up speed and the fans have now been completely sold out by NASCAR and the France family. The old days were "Win on Sunday, Sell on Monday" are long gone, never to be seen again. Car are generic with the exception of the front bumper. I used to be a huge NASCAR fan and on '96 went to 10 races. Now all I go to is the two Bristol weekends, not because the racing is that good but for the weekend experience. We have a group from all over the eastern US that have been camping together in the same place and it is more of a family reunion now. I would probably go even if I didn't go to the races. If I could ask Brian France one question it would be: "Brian, I know that it takes money to run NASCAR but you have sold out the fans for money and I would like to know when is enough going to be enough?" Oh yeah Kyle Bush is a prick!

I agree that it ain't over til it's over but I think that they know they will be in for a hell of a fight from us if it is not pulled from consideration.

Welcome! I would love to be in Pulaski! My dad is from there. Not much family left there anymore. Lots of good memories from the 60's when I spent part of the summers fishing with my grandpa!

They are 1 Karen Bennett, District 8 2 Duane Dominy, District 28 3 Jim Hodge, District 30 4 Robert Duvall, District 33 Those against are 1 Charlie Tygard CAL 2 Bo Mitchell, District 35 3 Carter Todd District 34 4 Megan Barry CAL 5 Jerry Maynard CAL Anyone have any more?

Here is an email that I just received from my councilman. He told me that he was against the council trying to limit our 2A rights. This is Tygard's email to the Metro Council. ====================================

I sent one to all but used the BCC address line. Of course you can't call them by name that way either. I'm getting responses already and all but Tygard have said that they are against this effort. I'll send individual emails to specific members that either don't reply or tell me they want to limit our rights.

Yeah Hex you are right. I posted that before this news from the council came out.

Well if we have to fight another veto then that is just what we will have to do. Leaving the loophole there for every city in the state to take advantage of is a much worse option in my mind.

It was a good day because I heard from my Metro Tax Appraisal review and I got my appraisal reduced by 12% without having to go to their office.

I thought about that too and I would guess that restaurants will be much like Walmarts. They will not mind if we are CC'ing but if we are OC'ing they will probably ask us to conceal the weapon or leave.
