I'm sorry to hear that but I would guess that all hospitals will have stories like that from time to time. You can name just about any hospital and someone will have a horror story about it. The thing to do is try to keep up with which one has the fewest and trust your life with them. I don't completely trust any of them but stories like this really make you wonder how they can ever do anything right. I knew a guy whose son bleed to death in the OR in Lebanon having his appendix removed. That was back in the mid 80's.

Good luck. I had an order of 500 checks get stolen out of the mail a few years ago. They wrote $1500 worth before I realized it and a total of almost $6k before they quit. Obviously filed a Police report and also filed a report with the Postal Inspectors. Nothing!! I don't guess that surprised anyone.

I need to know if anyone here is using one of the home healthcare services like CareAll for the care of a family member. I'm not limiting the question to CareAll but any other company that is caring for a loved one. My parents are in declining health. My mom has mild to moderate Alzheimer's and my dad's memory is nearly as bad but has not been diagnosed yet. He also can barley walk. He had a stroke back in the early 90's. I have been trying to take care of them myself so that I don't have to put them into a home. I have been trying to work from home but I am just not able to make enough money at it yet. I have been trying to get a PT job where the hours would fit my needs but any job is hard to come by now and finding one that also allows me to care for them has been impossible. I can't lose my home and there is not room for them here and it is not handicap accessible. I have spent all of my cash and been living on CC's lately. I need someone to help care for them so that I can find work. I just talked with CareAll and it sounds like they can offer what they need for $22.50 per hour with a 4 hour minimum. Has anyone had any dealings with them or have you used anyone else that you would recommend? I would like to know anything that you would share about this type of service so that I can know our options and also know what to expect. Any info would be greatly appreciated.
