  2. Great job!
  3. Just watched Phil in PA and he saw his shadow. 6 more weeks of Winter. Heck I imagine that in PA they will have 6 more weeks of winter whether he saw his shadow or not.
  4. Annual member. I'm not real happy with some of the things they do and their quick compromises that don't really protect our 2A rights but I still keep my membership active at least until something better comes along.
  5. Cool pics! I'm glad no one was near that tree when it crashed down.

    Ive got $500

    Sig SP 2022 40cal.
  8. I have a question about the gun business. I have been in business for myself before and one of the problems that I encountered was different pricing from distributors to the retail outlets. For example, The largest volume store in the Nashville area seems to be G&L. They turn a lot of guns so they would get a better price because of their volume while a new upstart store with limited funds that is just starting out would be sold the same guns at a higher price because they are not a high volume customer to the distributor. I had this very problem with suppliers in my business. I don't know if this is the same way things work in the gun business or not. If it is then it will be very hard to compete with the higher volume stores. Just a thought. A range would be a good idea I believe and also HCP classes. I don't know what the average charge for classes in your area are but be the lowest in the area. Teach classes every week if possible and if you can put 25 people a week thru the class @ $60 ea = $1500 or $6k a month. There would be very little cost if you can teach the class.

    BUG

    Ain't that the truth!!!
  10. I am born and raised in Nashville. Never liked the term and never will but I don't let it bother me either.
  11. I've come to expect that sort of thing with any reporting by the MSM. They have a specific agenda and it always shows in their reporting.
  12. Absolutely will do!
  13. Our roads in S. Nashville are still covered. My wife's office is going to open late @ 10am. By that time we should be OK.
  14. That's Super Bowl Sunday.
  15. Howdy Marty. Glad you finally found TGO! Welcome
  16. Good plan
  17. Saving Private Ryan is #1 on my list. All of the above are great but I would like to add "Ambush Bay" from 1966. Ambush Bay (1966)
  18. Good show but I have seen it before. That didn't stop me from watching it again. There were a few of the shows back to back. I thought it was funny when gunny got his nose bit by the scope while firing the 50 cal. Seems to me he should have known better.
  19. If she can listen to the instructor and comprehend the written test is a breeze. The distances and number of rds at each distance that we shot in my class was 24 rds at 9 ft., 12 rds at 21ft and 12 rds at 45ft. Let her practice at 45ft since that is the longest shot. If she can hit at that range the shorter ones should be easy. Remember she only has to hit the silhouette. A hit in the arm counts as much as a center mass shot while qualifying.
  20. Almost 3 inches in S. Nashville now @1:50 measured on the railing of my deck. It is finally beginning to stick to the road in front of the house. It's a cul de sac so there is not a lot of traffic.
  21. Thanks for that info DavidD. I have been trying to get my parents to go look at assisted living locations but they are dead set against leaving their home. My dad is afraid of elevators and will refuse to even consider a multilevel facility. They can't comprehend that I only want them to look at them and decide which one they would like to be in when the time comes. They seem to think that I'm gonna stick them in one right away. It looks like I am going to have to check them out myself and make the choice without any input from them. I'm glad to hear a good report of Home Instead. It sounds like something that would be beneficial.
  22. When I was in HS back in the early 70's a girl moved here that had lived in SD just a few miles from the border to Canada. She had pics of a snowfall where the tops light poles were the only thing visible. As the snow melted she had shots of the cattle that had been caught in the blizzard and frozen where they stood. It was really strange and made me decide that I didn't want to be any farther North than where I am.
  23. I just got home from picking my wife up from work. They closed their office at 10am. The roads that have been treated are passable but they are still wrecking on them. I-24 W between Briley and I-440 had a wreck in the middle lanes. I was going the other way. Roads that were not treated were really slick and there were quite a few cars in ditches already. Everyone be careful.
  24. Congrats!
  25. Sounds like it to me too. I sold a gun on GOC. I had 3 emails within a few hours. I sent back more pictures and any info requested and the gun was sold within 12 hours. If you really want to sell something you have to give prospective buyers the info necessary for them to make the decision to spend their money on your item and also you have to make the buyer trust the seller as much as possible. This guy is not doing that. I would pass him by!
