  1. Should have read the rules as asked to do when we first join. It is not so much that you were in the wrong place. Selling things is a perk of being a "Benefactor". That's $20/6 months or $35/year. I have been here a while and have been a Benefactor before but I'm broke for now and I don't have that right for now either.
  2. No that is NOT legal. You have to go thru FFL's on both ends to legally sell/transfer a gun across state lines.
  3. Go ahead, make my day!
  4. I would think that it would be easier for someone to cause you problems if the gun had come thru a private sale since there would not be an FFL that had the record of the sale to you. But if it was bought thru an FFL then he has the record of the sale and it would be easy to prove that you are the rightful owner. In a private sale there is no way to know how many have owned that gun. I would think that the Police would question why he didn't report it stolen at the time that he claimed that it left his possession rather than when he claims that he has seen his gun online. It is basically up to you. I don't post pictures of my guns with the Serial# but I also have never heard of anyone who had a problem when they did. This is where the tinfoil hat comes into the picture.
  5. It's simple. You have a Signess and there is no cure!
  6. Glad to hear that Catdaddy!
  7. But that bad owner can transform that dog into a bad dog. That is a shame.
  8. Congrats!
  9. HaHaHa You should have just believed me and not wasted your time! My dad was a Rambler man and made me buy it. He even sprung for a set of recapped tires to put on it.
  10. 1965 Rambler that I got in 1973. Boy was I NOT cool!!!
  11. I easily sold a gun on ### last Fall.
  12. No because the shot felt different and sounded different. I switched my focus from the target to the gun and don't have a clue to how accurate the shot was. I was more concerned if I had damaged the gun. Fortunately everything was OK.
  13. I mixed a 9mm in with some 40's somehow and shot a rd in my xd. It didn't cause any damage but it caused a FTE. No harm but I wouldn't want to do it regularly. I only shoot 40's for now so I don't have that problem anymore.
  14. Cool!
  15. Thanks for sharing but that is definitely not "News". They have been doing it for years and they don't care who knows it.
  16. Glad to have you here on TGO.

  18. I've got a friend that works in the HR dept of a company that bans guns on their property. One of the employees had his car broken into and he reported to the Police that 2 guns were taken. He not only lost his 2 guns but was fired also. That Sucks!!!
  19. Pro-Gun Bill Heads to Governor's Desk! Please Contact the Governor Today! On Wednesday, February 17, the Tennessee Senate unanimously passed House Bill 2376. The bill now heads to the desk of Governor Phil Bredesen (D) for his consideration. Sponsored by State Representative David Shepard (D-69) and State Senator Doug Jackson (D-25), HB2376 would prohibit the destruction of confiscated firearms and require them to be auctioned off or sold to a federally licensed firearms dealer. Proceeds from the sale of these firearms are to be used for the benefit of law enforcement agencies. HB2376 passed the House last June during the 2009 session and was carried over into 2010. SB2334, sponsored by State Senator Doug Jackson (D-25) was the companion bill to HB 2376. Please contact Governor Bredesen today and respectfully urge him to sign HB2376 into law. The Governor can be reached by phone at 615-741-2001 or email Phil.Bredesen@tn.gov.
  20. Welcome to TGO. I've seen you over on MSGO.
  21. So sorry to hear this news. She gave her life in service and defense of our country and that makes her a hero in my eyes.
  22. Where are the pics????
  23. I got there at 8:20 and left at about 2pm. It was a good day and I even got a free haircut! Enjoyed listening to the "Music City Miracle" guys, Frank Wychek, Kevin Dyson and Lorenzo Neal, John McClain and Tony Barnhardt and even though Paul Finebaum was an AL writer be still had some good info on the other SEC schools. For only $5 and free parking with shuttle service it was a great way to spend the day. I know what you guys will say, a day at the range would be better and I won't disagree with that but I can't afford that.
  24. Nice way to begin your weekend!
