The dems will produce reports that say things are getting better so that they can take the credit and try to hold on to their congressional seats. Remember W's last two years? The dems had control of both the House and Senate but didn't do a thing to help the country because they didn't want W or the Republicans to get any credit. They sat there and watched while the US went further down the crapper. Had the shoe been on the other foot the Republicans would have done the same thing so they are no better. They both suck and neither can be trusted.

Thanks for the kind words Sgt. Joe. I tried to keep this forum updated along with about 6 others. I knew that I couldn't do much with my situation with my parents and my time has been limited even more lately. When I heard about this for the 1st time at the 2nd or None event I contacted Terri and asked what I could do. This was it. I also tried to keep the 2nd Amendment March FaceBook page updated. I hope that it made at least a little difference. As far as the TN meeting, Oldsmobile98 was going to try to get something organized since the man who was the state coordinator never really did anything that I could see. He never answered any of my many emails. Then Olds98 said that he had some sort of medical issues. Olds98 is a Vandy student so I don't know how he could have the time to get much done. My niece is a student there also and I see what her schedule is like. I hope that we get something going but I'm waiting to see just like you are.

A lot of Antioch is also in South Precinct. Murfreesboro Rd is the dividing line. I get the crime reports from South. Hickory Hollow area and all of the apartments from Haywood Lane to the Rutherford county line is a war zone. I try not to be out after dark especially in the winter when it gets dark so soon and criminals have more clothes on to hide their weapons.

It should be his job to stay on top of all changes in the law and if he is not then I would ask "Why not"? It's bad when students know more than the instructor.

I had my system put in over 10 years ago by Protection One and had a 2 year $32 per month contract. These contracts will automatically renew if you don't cancel in writing before the expiration date. I sent my cancellation letter 6 months before it expired so that I was sure not to miss the deadline. After that contract was up I changed monitoring companies. AAT will charge you for the system when it is installed rather than finance it in the monitoring fees.

Sorry guys, I failed to mention that the chimney is covered with vinyl siding. I just talked to a neighbor whose house was built by the same people and her chimney is similar to mine. Her's is also leaking. They have a flat metal piece that overlaps the top of the chimney by about 3 inches. (My chimney is about 2'X4') Then the chimney cap is in the center of that. She had a friend go up to check hers and said that top piece was screwed in on the four corners but instead of putting the screws thru the sides, they put them thru the top. He put tar on the screws and she said that it helped but didn't stop the water. Maybe the thing to do is to go ahead and remove the damaged drywall and see if I can tell exactly where it's coming from.

The house was built with that already there. We've been here for almost 11 years and it was new when we moved in. I have been up on the roof before and everything LOOKS OK. I have been into the attic and I can see no evidence of the leak. That wall where the FP is goes up to about 7.5 ft and then takes on the pitch of the roof up to the 9ft ceiling height. The interior damage starts at the angled joint and the wall. there is no damage above that.

Guys, I'm in need of someone that is in the home repair business. I have developed a water leak that is coming from my chimney. I don't know if it is coming thru the top of the chimney or leaking somewhere around where it meets the roof. It has damaged the drywall above the fireplace so that will need to be replaced. I'm hoping that the cap on the chimney can just have some type of sealer put up there and fix the leak. The chimney will have to be reached by ladder. You cannot stand on the roof and see the top of it. I'm too old and fat to get up there myself and even when I was younger I didn't like heights enough to do this. If one of you is in the business and can make this repair and could come by and give me an estimate that would be great. If not but you have used a handyman that you would recommend then please let me know who that guy is and how to get in touch with him. I am in the I-24/Haywood Lane area on the SE side of Nashville.
