  1. I'm only about 7 or 8 miles from downtown Nashville so maybe that wouldn't be a problem.   Follow up question: I've been with Comcast for around 20 years and had the same email the whole time. How big of a problem will it be to change over that considering everyone I've ever down business with online uses that address? Should I switch to another now like a gmail or something else? Which one? I have a gmail account but haven't used it enough to be familiar with it. Can I transfer my Comcast address book to gmail? Can you tell I'm not the sharpest knife in the drawer when it comes to puters???
  2. ...and what do you think about it? I've been with Comcast for probably 20 years but getting tired of the constant outages and high prices! I keep getting U-Verse ads in the mail and could probably cut my bill in half. I've got internet, TV and phone.  What about the internet speed? Need some help in pulling the trigger on dumping Comcast. Any other options?
  3. I was having a hard time getting Volsfan which tells my story so I just substituted a "z" for the "s".  GO BIG ORANGE!!!
  4. Sounds like time for a change. The LGS I use is always next day which is fine with me.
  5. Pictures of her as she assumes control of her new home would be nice!
  6. Yeah and they would kinda go with my Ansel Adams prints that we have too. I guess they reminded my Mom of the little town she grew up in. She was born in Delina, TN in 1926.

    Facebook

It's as public as you allow by the settings. I try not to put anything on there I would not want anyone else to see. Some folks put their whole life on FB and thats their choice but it's not mine.
  8. Cori's is on 29th behind the liquor store at the corner of 29th and West End.  Ted's is straight across the street from the liquor store.
  9. While cleaning out my Mom and Dad's home I ran across a couple of prints that are signed and numbered. I'm wondering if they are worth anything. Can anyone tell me where to check. I don't know where she got them. These are both 13"X20".
  10. No problem! Never know if you don't ask. Been here for 5 years and don't expect to be leaving the best forum I've ever been a part of!! Thanks David!
  11. I quit at one. I just never got comfortable with my G19 and traded it and never went back. I'm stuck on CZ's now!
  12. Sorry for your loss.
  13. David, I've got 6 months left on my 1 year vendor subscription but I've shut down my website. Can you apply the remaining 6 months of that subscription to the lifetime membership and let me pay the difference?
  14. ^^^^^^ What he said!
  15. Wow! That's a real bruise!
  16. My wife uses "I Hate Sports" for her password sometimes! I started going to TN Vol games back in 77 and she has been to 2. One was in Knoxville in 78 and the other was in Gainsville in 85. The only thing I've taken her to that she liked was hockey. A friend used to work for the Nashville Knights back before the Preds and he got us in and put us on the seats right on the glass. She LOVED the violence down close.    GO BIG ORANGE!!!
  17. My way to avoid scams is to NEVER give to anyone who calls me for money. I give to charities who I am comfortable with and have at the least done some checking out and then I'll mail a check. They will tell you on the phone "Thanks for your previous support" and I know that's just not true.  I'll also drop some cash in the bell ringers buckets but other than that I don't pass out my cash either.
  18. I don't spend much time anywhere but Nashville and while driving thru the Nolensville Rd area here this morning got me to wondering if the other main cities here in TN had a specific area that has been taken over but foriegn businesses like Nolensville Rd has here in Nashville. I'm referring to Memphis, Jackson, Chattanooga, Knoxville but even smaller areas like Murfreesboro, Columbia and others that size.   I grew up in the Nolensville Rd area here and seeing what it has become makes me sick!
  19. Used Life Alert for my parents before finally moving them to assisted living. Fortunately they never had to use it but was glad they had them just in case. Was able to get out of the contract when they moved to A.L. Also had the Life Alert smoke detector.
  20. I wound up using Morton Plumbing. Great company!
  21. You could also sell them to reptile stores to feed their snakes!
  22. Automatically resets and is ready for the next.   http://www.gifti.me/i/2d85VoAqem.gif
  23. But he doesn't own the mall. Only his leased business in their space which sounds like was properly posted along with written into the lease.
  24. I never knew there was a storm here in Nashville last night!
  25. Does a properly posted business also mean that the business owner is also prevented from having a weapon on the property? A friend asked me and I wasn't sure.
