Go to Tennessee General Assembly Main Page and in the bottom right corner enter your address and that will show you who your State Senator and Representative. It will show what Senate District and what House District you are in.

I don't see the NRA lasting much longer without a complete house cleaning and a re-evaluation of their direction! I have let my membership expire and will not renew without some BIG changes.

We would take firecrackers and dump out the gunpowder into one of the small Testors model car paint bottles until it was full. I don't know how much that was or how it would compare to a stick of dynamite but those would sure make some noise and do some damage. I guess we were lucky no one was killed! Someone always called the Police every time we set one off.

There are a lot of State Representatives that need to go too. I'm in south Nashville and Doug Henry is my State Senator. He doesn't have much competition that I can see so far. They seem to be doing very little and I guess just waiting to see who wins the primary next month. Henry has a lot of money and it will take a lot more to beat him. My Rep is Sherry Jones and she is useless. I am working to help get Duane Dominy elected to her seat. I'm going door to door for him Saturday. Find someone you can get behind and give it your all!

I would have helped a man in uniform in a heartbeat. I'll usually help most anyone. Yesterday I had an opportunity to help a guy that was at the bottom of the ramp to I-24W at Haywood Lane. I didn't stop because he was acting like he was high on something. He was not just simply trying to wave down some help but he was out in the road jumping and yelling and waving his arms and holding his hand to the side of his head as if he wanted to use a cell phone. I was armed as always but I didn't see a car and my wife was with me. Even though he was rather well dressed something about the situation said to just drive on by. I may have been wrong but just wasn't willing this time to take the chance. I got the finger! Wasn't the first and probably won't be the last either. I never allow anyone to pay me when I do stop to do a favor. As far as I'm concerned once you accept a payment it ceases to be a favor and it also takes the enjoyment out of doing someone a favor!

I was surprised to see Dave Ramsey supporting Wamp in one of Wamp's commercials this morning after all of those votes.

Unfortunately it is very rare these days that any candidate is simply the obvious man/woman for the job, that everyone likes and there are no issues that would make you question him/her about their past. Everyone of them will have positives and negatives no matter who they are. That is how I go about choosing the one who gets my vote, weighing the +'s and -'s. HvyMtl, if all that you do is focus on all of the negatives you will never vote again. No one will ever measure up. I typically don't like someone like Ramsey who is, as you say, a "Politician" but he has a record that shows me that he is a true 2A supporter and has been for a long time. Ramsey is the man for me at this point in the campaign and I don't see that changing.

Everyone interested should just use Yahoo or MSN Messenger and chat away. Some friends and I did that on another forum and it worked very well.

I traded for a 686 4" a few years ago and I love it. It was made in '84. It was stolen from me in late '06 but recovered and returned to me on the Spring of '08. I was so happy to get it back. It was missing the rear sight but other than that it was fine. I love shooting that gun!

I only said that because TN is allowing more and more business to be done via the internet. I guess it was more of a personal statement because I don't remember the last time that I was in a state building. Probably when I applied for my HCP a few years ago. The state buildings were the reason that we got this crappy sign law now.

I live about 5 miles from the airport in the I-24/Haywood lane area. I am home most of the time and if we can work it out you can leave your car here and I'll drive you back and forth. That let's me beat your Marriott price! Shoot me a PM and maybe we can work out the details.

I would like to see the law allow me, as an HCP holder, be able to go anywhere and into any business if those areas are open to the general public. I don't have a problem with courtrooms and some other state or federal buildings being off limits. I still don't understand why the Post Office is prohibited.

You would probably be better off shelling out $20 and join here as a Benefactor for 6 months and sell it in the TGO classifieds. You will spend $10 to get in the show tomorrow so just $10 more will let you advertise it here and you will surely get a better price because you can sell it for closer to retail.

I was looking for one a couple of years ago but never found even a used one. No one carried them locally. I bought an XD-40c instead and don't regret it at all. I did find one at a gun show about a year ago and didn't like the way it felt in my hand at all. Good luck with your search.

I just read on here in another thread that it was less than a 3 week wait. Thats very good compared to what it used to be.

I want to say that I didn't post this thread to try to get the 3 word thread closed. I was just wondering if guys would spend their time there if their posts didn't count. I don't ever look at it but I always see that there are new posts there. I have no idea who is posting in it and don't care. It is just funny to me. XDTalk has a thread that is "Post here if you want to increase your post count". It has 227,424 replies and 2,642,849 views. HAHAHA! The Classifieds is a very good reason for it. I rarely ever look at the Classifieds but if I was there looking for something I would want to know that they have been here for a while. At least you can feel a bit better knowing that they have forked over the money to be a Benefactor!
