I sold one at a gun show a few weeks back and all that I did was asked if he had an HCP and when said he did I asked to see it. That was proof that he was eligible to buy a gun. I can't tell you his name now.

I like looking at numbers and something that I see on most forums is that they do well to get 10-12% to actively participate. The number as I copied tonight is very close to 20%. What I was wondering is what qualifies someone as an active member?

I used to work security there a few years ago and on occasion we would use metal detector wands. They were crap. I haven't been there in a couple of years but on their website somewhere it says that weapons are not allowed. If they catch you they will just escort you out if you are already in or prevent your entry if they catch you at the door. I know this is after the fact since I'm late to the party but it may be useful to others for future events. Lets us know what you encountered.

My house has been reappraised 3 times since I've been in it and all 3 times I have been able to get the appraisal reduced. There is an identical house across from me and they have not fought their appraisal and are paying taxes on about $50000 higher value. I've decided that they will just jack everyone by a certain % knowing that most will not take the time to object. If you do and have a decent argument then they will reduce your appraisal to something closer to the real value.

No gun shop will ever give as much as you can get yourself. They have to be able to resell it for a profit. I just sold an XD-40 and the way I did that was to do some research to see what a used gun is bringing. Then went to the gun show last weekend and had 5 people ask about the gun while I just walked around with the case without anything saying I was looking to sell. I sold it at my price within 30 minutes.

I should be picking up my new Rami tomorrow so now I need a good OWB holster for it. What have you guys who either own or have owned a Rami used? Any suggestions?

I have never seen signs when I've been out there.The website has the following... That's doesn't look legal to me. I've never seen pat downs at any NASCAR event gate before so they would not find a concealed weapon. However if someone sees it and freaks out and reports you then you could be the one to pay for a challenge to the law. I would think that they could only escort you out but who really knows.

The following is by no means a desirable method but the flood last year at my parents house really took care of her mole problem so I guess that's one good thing that came from the flood!

If it is as good as I hope it is then I may have to add the 40 cal to my "family" also but that won't be too soon.

Lots of suggestions about eating. Here's one on what to DO. If you have time you should take a drive up to Greenbrier and visit the best gun store in the state, Gun & Leather. Say hi to Daniel, Dennis and the guys. Maybe you'll be taking a new gun back home! It's usually an easy drive as long as you don't try it during the rush hour.I believe they are open until 9pm thru the week except for Wednesdays.

I'm never impressed with the shows in the area anymore but I went to sell a gun and accomplished that feat and got my price out of it so for me it was fine. I also picked up some powder while I was there. I just like to fondle a lot of guns every now and then!

I renewed mine back in Feb and was fully expecting to have to carry around that letter since mine old one expired in late March but to my surprise I had the new one on just under 3 weeks. I was completely surprised!

I've never seriously considered the Bersa line. Maybe I'll check those out. I would love to hear more opinions of both the Rami and the Bersa now.
