Missed the number of amendments and the year the Constitution was written. That's better than I thought that I would do but I sure don't want to go on "Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader?"!

I have bought ammo from Wallyworld before and will probably buy there again. Usually when I shoot I go to Gun & Leather and I have found them to be about the same as WM so most of the time I will buy it from Dennis. I would much rather him get the profit than Walmart. If G&L was a couple of dollars more per box then I would probably have to change my thinking but as long as they are within a dollar per box it's G&L for me.

Concealed is my choice. Both pro and con can make legit arguments for why they do what they do but I think that is comes down to personal preference and what you are comfortable with. I like the idea of not giving the BG the advantage of knowing that I am carrying so it is CC for me. If your thing is OC then go for it and I will defend your right to do it.

For the most part my friends don't know that I carry. Only about 3 or 4 of my closest friends know. One took his HCP class with me, another bought his first pistol 2 week ago and is planning to get his HCP. The other friends that know will go shooting with me. They only found out when I took my gun off as we were going into a restaurant that served alcohol. Even my bosses didn't know for the first 6 months that I worked for them but they are cool with it. None of my other friends have detected that I was carrying in their presence. I agree with the others who have said that if someone protests then I will not return until my gun is as welcome as I am.

Welcome from south Nashville. My understanding on carrying a gun in a car was that it did not matter if the gun was in the drivers compartment or the trunk but if you had it up front then the ammo had to be in the trunk. Or the opposite. You cannot have the opportunity to put the two together. If anyone else can confirm or correct, please do.

I'm with you on the restaurant law. I don't drink at all so it would not be a problem for me to go into a restaurant and leave the alcohol alone but I know that I am probably a minority. My observation of HCP holders is that we are law abiding citizens and if the law stated that you can't drink alcohol while carrying in a restaurant that serves alcohol then that is exactly what they would do. I would like to know the number of non HCP holders that are carrying into restaurants now.

A couple of weeks ago I was cutting my front yard and a nieghbors Boxer was loose in thier front yard. Another neighbor was outside and on the phone. The dog spotted him and took off after him. The dog chased him back into his house. The dog was out in the road then and turned it's attention towards me. I usually have my gun with me while doing yard work but didn't this time. The dog charged me as its owner began yelling for the dog to stop. He knows that I carry and I believe that he thought that he was about to lose his dog. All I had with me at that time was the bag off of my mower. I believe that if I had not had that I would have been bit. My wife had seen the neighbor get chased in and went to get her camera so we have a video of this dog go after me in case I ever have to prove how aggressive this dog really is. After he got control of the dog I told him that was his last chance and that I would get the police involved even if I see the dog go after someone else and not me. I also told him that I would not be "naked" again. I have wondered where I would stand if I did have to shoot this dog and I appreciate the opinions that I have read here.

I always felt that residents of Nashville would refer to it as "Nashvegas" because they were bored with Nashville and Las Vegas gives the apperance of a cool, happening city. I say screw "Nashvegas". If someone wants to be in Vegas then pack up and go to Vegas. I happy here in NASHVILLE!

I used to be the same way. I never went to a doctor. That was until 1997 when I began to have problems with blood loss thru my intestinal tract. It was a slow, sporadic leak that would bleed then stop for sometimes months and then leak again. It took 4 years for them to find the problem. It was in my small bowel which is nearly impossible to find but they did. Without these doctors I may have died. I was lucky in that my ailment was not a painful thing, thank God! I know, too much info! I am 50 years old now and overweight, although I have recently lost nearly 40 lbs. with about 15 more to go. My dad is borderline diabetic and I don't want nothing to do with that. I was also on 2 blood pressure pills and have been able to get down to just one. A good doctor is a great help. I would encourage everyone to go to a doctor and let them practice if need be. Maybe you'll be around to shoot for a few more years. I'm new here and look forward to meeting you guys. I'm enjoying the heck out of this. Oh yeah, I leave my gun in the car when I go into his office.

I, too, am VERY disgusted. How can either of these two be the best man for the job? I guess that anyone who would be better suited for the office just doesn't want to go through crap that goes along with it.

i just heard that the Supreme Court has struck down the DC handgun ban! Vote was 5-4 That's tight but it is a win!
