I got mine today. Appraised value went from 140,500 to 156,000. No way. I have fought mine the last two times and won. I guess that I'll try to make it 3 for 3.

When I get them in the trap and put trap and all into the water filled can it doesn't seem to matter how smart it is.

Here in Nashville we have lost a true friend. He is a man that I never met FTF but he came into my home for more than 30 years. His name was Dan Miller. He was the anchorman for the local NBC TV station. He died in Augusta GA after watching a practice round for The Masters on Wednesday last week. Augusta was his hometown. As bad as the national news is I always knew that Dan was the exception to the rule. There has been a lot said about him since the news broke here last Thursday morning but there is something that I heard this afternoon that I just can't stand still for. I have to admit that I am also one who kept putting off what we can all do to help others in need. What am I referring to? ORGAN DONATION! Dan was an organ donor who has helped some people to hopefully have a longer life because of his thoughtfulness and love for his fellow man. It was reported this afternoon that Dan was one of only 345 people in the entire state of Tennessee that were organ donors! 345! How can that be? Tennessee is called the "Volunteer State". Well not where this is concerned. I have sent an email similar to this post to everyone in my address book. I have signed up and I ask that you would also consider doing the same. If you also feel the desire then please send out some emails also. Thanks for reading this and God Bless. If you live in Tennessee, sign up at www.tndonorregistry.org; if you live in another state, go to www.donatelife.net and click on your state for the link to your state's registry.

I bought a cheap live trap and catch them ugly possums in it. Since I am inside the city of Nashville I just drown them in one of my recycle cans (I got 2 and keep 1 full of water) and toss them in the trash. Should work for coons too.

I just saw a notice on XDTalk about a scam on the Cheaper Than Dirt Auction for ammo. Anyone here may want to check out the link to see the details but apparently there is someone using three different user ID's and claiming to have ammo up for sale. Warning! Ammo purchase scam!!!! - XDTalk Forums - Your HS2000/SA-XD Information Source!

Congratulations to both! I think that we all thought about how huge the bulge was when we began legally carrying but as we carry that bulge seems to get smaller each day. As I look back, it never was as large as it seemed that 1st day. It's also funny how we are nervous about doing something that is completely legal.

If everything continues when would this actually become law and us be able to carry into restaurants? -
My new P226 Elite came in a blue case. My cousin bought a refurbed P239 from G&L that came in a red case. He was told that Sig has 3 grades of refurbs and that G&L will only deal in the top quality refurb.

Ditto! Was there a Naifeh sighting there? He's a new permit holder isn't he? -
I don't see it as testing the water. Cig taxes are a cash cow for state and Fed. cofers. They have been sticking it to cig smokers for years and most people think it's a great place for taxes since the majority don't smoke or use tobacco. I know that you've heard the term "Sin Tax". I'm positive that ammo taxes are already in their sites. When they are proposed the public will say that it's a great idea because it won't have any effect on them. Little do they know! The tax on ammo will not be expected to generate the cash that cigarettes do. It will be placed on ammo to make shooting too expensive for the average shooter to afford.

I started a job in the cig business in '01 selling the cheap brands. I was selling cartons (and a bunch of them) for $7.49 ea. These were the brands that people that could not afford Marlboro and Winston would buy. Guys were walking into stores and asking for the cheapest pack rather than asking for specific brands. They didn't care what brand it was as long as it was cheap and it would burn. I talked with an old customer this morning and that same brand is now selling for $26.99. WOW! If you get caught buying cigarettes from out of state without the TN tax stamp there are huge fines. Be very careful. Quiting would be much smarter.

It's illegal to put out an April Fool's joke early. That's un-american! -
Everyone needs to send their Representative an email RIGHT NOW reminding them of your stance and that you expect them to defend the Constitution. Don't wait for anyone else to do it for you.
