  1. I've been many times... I hate to see it go away.
  2. My garandad was 507th PIR. Graduated jump school at Ft. Benning October 1942. He had to lug a carbine around a bit.
  3. http://www.bugholes.com/aboutus.asp Greg is the best within a drive from you. I have a custom rifle from him and it is one of my best rifles.
  4. http://accu-tig.com/ I had a new bolt handle put on by accutig. Fast turnaround and great work.

    Long Range

If you can make it to 500 then 600+ is not that much different. If you shoot with people that shoot to 1000+ I am sure they will have you set in no time. What caliber is the Sig? Do you reload?
  6. Are you talking 1,000 yds or beyond? I like Athlon and have a Midas TAC 5-25×56 and it is a nice scope. I like it better than the Vottex's that I have owned in the past. For long range out to and beyond 1,000 I run Schmidt and Bender PMII's and have used my Nightforce Atacr out to a mile. I have looked though a NF NX8 at a mile and it is impressive
  7. I think that the water temps are gonna keep fish very sluggish for a few more weeks. For me Priest and Old Hickory are in the high 40's to 50°.
  8. There is a rifle listed there that I'd like to contact the seller about, but I'm not paying a damn fee. This may save me money in the long run
  9. I have sent a bolt handle replaced by accu-tigg The gunsmith that build my rifle took the measurements and or sent the action off to accu-tigg to make sure that the bolt timing would be correct. I am sure that you could send accu-tigg the bolt and action yourself. Once the handle is fixed an you check the headspace you may be GTG. I have .308 gauges if you need me to check it for you after a repair. http://accu-tig.com/ If you get another bolt Just run it up to Greg at Southern Precision Rifles http://www.bugholes.com/

    6mm ARC

I do not have one yet, but there is a 99% chance that I will go to it when I need a re-barrel on one of my 6.5 rifles that I can order a pre-fit barrel for and do the barrel swap myself.
  11. Congrats it's a nice range. Do you plan to shoot long range?
  12. I shopped for a long time and picked up a large used TL30 from the safe house and then a nice new Superior Supreme SM35 from https://www.parkerssafesandvaults.com/ Parker's is in Shelbyville so it may be closer to you. I couldn't find anywhere that beat his prices and his install service was great.
  13. I'd be a guinea pig today if needed.
  14. One more for the RCBS RC I have a Rockchucker JR that is from the early seventies I think and newer RC, both are well used and are still going strong.
  15. http://fflgundealers.net/match-service-works.html That link has the same number as I have for Ronnie
  16. Ronnie Morris if he is still working. In State I'd look at https://www.dgrguns.com/ If not, I'd ask on the CMP or https://m14forum.com/forums.ph
  17. I have a few camerons and other fancy putters than any sane person should own. I play all of them, I played this one for a couple of years. It has a welded neck and I just don't see the welded necks on the tour or other camerons. 20200325_200805 20200325_200907 20200325_200934 20200325_201006 Link to where you can find it on the SC website. https://www.scottycameron.com/authentication/registry/Details.aspx?rn=A019381&registry-submit=search
  18. I need him to buy my scotty cameron tour rat putter so I can buy another rifle
  19. I will reword my statement. 1,000 yards does not require 50BMG. 50 BMG for 300-1000 yards see Handsome Robs post above ▲
  20. 1000yrds is not "long range" to me.
  21. I shoot LR 1250 a good bit and beyond 1250 when I have access. To me the 50BMG is NICE but not the "king" of LR anymore. The 375/408 Cheytac, 338LM, 416 Barrett and other "big guns" are super nice for "extended" long range. If you are looking to go a mile our just out a little past that I say look into 300PRC or 338LM. My 300wm is fine out to 1760. I haven't shot my 338LM out to a mile yet but I am sure that it would make that shot easier. Look into a few gunsmiths, talk to them, and tell them what you want a rifle to do and go from there. Or go off the shelf with a Barrett MRAD, Accuracy International, or other top shelf company. If you are on FaceBook look to join the extended long range page and ask questions https://www.facebook.com/ELRCentral/ & https://www.facebook.com/groups/261263037837539/?fref=nf https://www.jjrockco.com/ https://www.bugholes.com/ https://www.crescentcustoms.com/ https://www.longriflesinc.com/ Save money for a GOOD scope!
  22. Congrats I've always said that San Diego is a nice place to visit but... get me back home to TN.
  23. Welcome to 37122 Where did you move from?
  24. I have WWI/WWII Luger's and I'd say that if you care about the collector value at all, then I would leave it as is. If you just want a shooter or display that looks better then I would say seek out a few gunsmith's in TN and see what they say. Do all of the numbers match? One https://www.oldsouthrestoration.com/luger-detail-pricing A good one outside of TN https://lugerman.com/
  25. Where is a close meeting spot near downtown Chattanooga to do a FTF deal? Or is there such a place?
