    Help

Proof of ownership? Why did she have to prove that to get a permit?
  9. Thanks Froggy Is the the die set that you mentioned above? Redding Type S Match Bushing 3-Die Neck Sizer Set 308 Winchester - MidwayUSA
  10. I will start with the two bold options above... seems that those are "low cost" ideas. The Lee Factory Crimp dies is what I have. Easy enough to use and not that much more time even with a hand press. I bought the crimp for when I load .308 for my M1A. thanks
  11. I saw that crap on his show over the weekend... 70% hummm What a dumbass he is
  12. Thanks for the replies guys... I will not use the crimp die and focus more on neck tension.
  13. My first attempt at loading .308 for my bolt gun. Also my 1st outing with new scope (Weaver 10x Mil-Dot tatical). The groups were better than my best group with Federal Gold Match 168 but I think that the groups will improve over time, I hope. I hope to load more this week and test again soon. I loaded 25 without the use of a crimping die and 25 with a light crimp... the gun seems to like the light crimp better. Any reloaders here that have thoughts on crimp vs. no crimp? Load data: 2.77 OAL 150 Hornady FMJ BT 42.3 Grains of IMR 4064 (start load in Lee book) Wincheste LR primers Full length resizing die used Lee Hand Press 100yds 5-shots crimp 100 yds 10 shots no crimp
  14. You may want to call the reloaders bench in Mount Juliet. I but .308 FMJ BT in bulk there. I believe they have pistol bulk bullets too.
  15. ya gotta cut & paste the right link or BAM Ding Dong in ya face.
  16. NICE Congrats great 1st 1911
  17. Seems like it is $10 I will be there... I need a 1944 Garand and a '43 Garand recevier.
  18. When I say them to myself outloud they sound each sound different... cute kid's I wonder which one will change their name first
  19. I agree. If a carreir wishes to write business in XYZ State then there is nothing preventing them from doing so. They file, if approved, they can start writing coverage..... However, States do not control carrier rates. Each carrier allowed to write coverage in the State must submit rates based on sound actuarial results of that particular carrier. The State has the sole power to approve a carrier to write business in the State but not to dictate what premium they must charge. The only “rates†calculated from the entire states “loss runs†are workers’ compensation base rates that all carriers must use; even then not all data is included (e.g. self insured’s, uninsured, and self-insured groups). Each WC carrier must then file their own lost cost multiplier that is applied to the States base rates. There are several States that do not allow WC carriers in their State. They have a WC program administered by the State (monopolistic). I agree that removing the States right to control insurance in their State is not a good idea. Although it may sound simple to remove State regulation of health insurance, I believe that it would create a much larger issue than we are currently experiencing. I do not think that consumers have adequate knowledge of the particulars of their own insurance issues much less the issues of the entire country. I do not have a Life & Health license so I am not aware of all the issues with health care. However, being in the workers’ compensation insurance industry and having a background in Property & Casualty insurance I can identify that the increase in medical cost is the driving force of the cost of health insurance (duh, I know). Workers’ Compensation carriers are also struggling due to medical care cost increases..so I can relate. What are the cost drivers of medical insurance? To me the drivers are an aging population, new types of medicine, increased litigation, and illegal/indigent health care service consumers.
  20. keep it and dont shoot it...or is that not an option

    WWII 1911 Question

Mt grandfather was in the 507th PIR. I never heard him speak of an issued to him 1911. He did have a paratrooper M1 Carbine that was issued to him. I have several of his PIR/Paratrooper items and was shocked when I learned the history of the PIR units.
  24. Welcome
