  1. Correct, the 1st payment will be from the moeny that they received from the bailout. I like how that works... now if I can just find somebody that will loan me a billion bucks I will promise to pay them back $50,000 every month.
  2. If it is an all correct era Winchester you did not "overpay" IMO. If it is a "mixmaster" then yeah you paid a bit much. Have you taken it apart to see if the trigger housing, Hammer, Slide, and other parts are Winchester? The stock appears to be Winchester. Does the stock have a cartouche on it? Is there a "W" in the slingwell? How early is the serial number? If early if may be a springtube model...more of a "cool factor" to some. The bayonet sheath appears to be an early one. It does not have metal hangers for the belt on top so it is a trench knife, pre-carbine baynet era.
  3. Only the very early Winchesters had barrel date stamps..... They stopped barrel dating like mid/end 1942. Nice looking carbine OP

  14. What a POS... because he taught at Vandy he is "smatter" than the people that vote his butt into office? "I am grateful to the thousands of Nashville-area residents who have shared their opinion on health care reform with me. Everyone feels strongly because health care is so important to our lives. Having read the pending bills and having taught health policy at Vanderbilt business school for twelve years, I have made the following decision: I will vote yes on H.R. 3962" I sent my email to his office. Short but to the point... Dear Sir, I am extremely disappointed that you voted yes on H.R. 3962. I expect more of my Congressman. Due to your yes vote on H.R. 3962, I will not vote for you in any future elections. I have many family members and friends that live in your district. I will voice my opinion of your vote to every one of them and urge them to vote against you in the 2010 midterm elections. Thank you,
  15. OOO that Jim Cooper sure Chaps my ass... I am going to write his office right now. He is my Congressman and i hope that we can vote him out ASAP.
  16. sad but true
  17. You should be fine for what you are wanting to do.... Can you put a forward "load" on your bipod? A little forward pressure may help with MIV (Minute of Vitals).
  18. Nahhh just turn the cylinder to the next chamber and pull the trigger again... it will work just fine.
  19. I dont use a sling with a pod... I have never tried but have seen others at the range try. I cannot see where it would help me. You may want to try it both ways and see what works for you. A good read on pod shooting: Bugholes from Bipod
