  1. I can't deny it, he has skills. When the fluid container apocolypse is upon us, I know who's side I'm going to be on.
  2. I'M BUMPING THIS IN CAPSLOCK FOR GOOD MEASURE.
  3. Sounds like a plan. I'm bringing my 300 BO pistol, so I'll blame the ammo Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I547 using Tapatalk
  4. I'm planning on next week, this week was no good for me.
  5. This is going to be a cheeky thread.
  6. Masking tape is no match for fast moving bits. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I547 using Tapatalk
  7. I wouldn't think it would matter much either. Even if it did, buffer tube's are cheap to replace. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I547 using Tapatalk
  8. Why wasn't this thread a poll!!! Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I547 using Tapatalk
  9.   This, this, this, and this.
  10. Schedule for next week hasn't been posted yet. Hopefully I can make next saturday.   EDIT: I can do next saturday morning so long as my schedule stays the same.
  11.   That's what I was thinking, but so many things can cause pneumonia, not just influenze. The rhinovirus can cause pneumonia, and it's much more common to catch a cold than to catch the flu.   Either way, the vast majority of deaths in both cases are in older age brackets.   If I was much older I'd definately consider a pneumonia shot.   Edit, also, here's a slighly more up to date data table: http://www.cdc.gov/nchs/data/nvsr/nvsr64/nvsr64_02.pdf
  12. Not getting a flu shot. Hey, TMF, do you know where that article derives the "36,000" number from? Because the CDC's statistic for total deaths from influenza is very different. Most sources lump influenza and pneumonia together, which is probably what that article did. http://www.cdc.gov/nchs/data/nvsr/nvsr63/nvsr63_03.pdf
  13. You missed some trash on your HVAC unit.

  17.   That's my hope. I just need to make it out to the range and find out.

I agree. I did end up comprimising on a few parts, but all in all I'm glad that it hit around the mark. I just need to test it out at the range and then I'll post some pics on the Show and Tell section.

Well, dern, it's sitting at 62 oz and just missing a rear sight. If I SBR it it will sit at about 4lb 5oz with a rear sight.
  20.   Nope, after chamfering the opening of the gas key it lock. May need a little more fiddling with, but it's locking everytime now.   Edit: The big test will be whether or not this will cause locking issues at the end of cycling.
  21. Nevermind, it's not the tube. Measured the length going into the receiver and it's correct. The gas key's inner diameter is a bit off. Going to see what I can do about that. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I547 using Tapatalk
  22. Has anyone ever had to clip a gas tube? I just got done assembling an upper with a pistol-length tube and the tube is so long it won't allow the BCG to lock. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I547 using Tapatalk

Actually, the barrel just got cerakoted today. Special thanks to Amendment 2 Custom Coatings.
  24.   I don't know if anyone can truthfully answer that question until they're met with such a situation.   EDIT: Just realized there is some adult language in this, so I'll just link to it instead: https://www.patreon.com/posts/3523364

UPDATE: Should be wrapping this build up shortly. Just waiting to get the barrel back from cerakoting and the bolt carrier should be arriving this week. I do have to see if I can find a cotter pin for the bolt locally and will have to "borrow" a rear sight from one of the rifles at the house to test it out(I have a TROY rear sight that's being borrowed right now, but I'm going to probably "borrow" it back to test and tune this bad boy {if everything falls into place}).   Still haven't decided if I do want to SBR or cerakote the whole thing as of this moment.
