I have a Sony NEX-5N. I like it. Not too bulky either.
  4. Maybe it's me, but this story seems to have little in common with school-massacres except for the fact that it happened at a school. Reports show he had one target and was not looking to kill as many people as possible.   'CENTENNIAL, Colo. (AP) — Investigators were looking Saturday at whether revenge motivated a teenage gunman to enter his suburban Denver high school armed with a shotgun looking for a specific teacher.' (http://news.yahoo.com/revenge-probed-motive-colo-school-shooting-142118908.html)   'The 18-year-old gunman who police say opened fire inside a Colorado high school Friday, injuring a fellow student and then fatally shooting himself, was reportedly targeting the teacher who had recently kicked him off the school’s debate team.' (http://www.foxnews.com/us/2013/12/14/colorado-teacher-praised-for-making-best-tactical-decision-during-shooting/)   'Quick-thinking students alerted the targeted teacher, who quickly left the building' (http://www.theblaze.com/stories/2013/12/13/teenager-who-opened-fire-at-high-school-identified-may-have-had-grudge-against-teacher/)   Comparing apples to oranges seems to be what a lot of 'news' agencies are partaking in. Take it however you want, but most of  the reports I've read through have tried to connect this to the mass shootings of yesteryear. :tinfoil:
  5.   Commie.   But wouldn't it be nice :D
  6. Could be worse... could be happening everywhere. A city of sheep will be run by wolves; the rest watch and learn.
  7. Never watched his movies, but I always hate to read of someone passing...   On a lighter note, glad to see all of the Wall postings on Facebook showing just how distrustful people are of the media these days in relation to this story. Just wish I could have seen it for reasons other than death....
  8.   I like this idea, but I would like to see us go further; put public servants back in the seat of public service. No one working for the People should make more than the People. Compensation should not exceed the median income...   I would get into conflicts of interest, but then I will be going way off subject.   Of course, ideals ar just that; ideals...........
  9. I don't believe in mandated term limits. The problem is ('As I see it'), we have politicians who continually ignore the Constitution, who other political figures allow them to get away with carrying out violations of the Constitution while they hold office, and the voting public as well as the electoral college who mostly seem not to care of any  corruption so long as the person they like (who is more than likely defenestrating the Constitution) is elected into or remains in office.   If the voting majority as well as the electoral college really cared about the constitution as well as cared to reduce the amount of corruption in this country, (I believe) we wouldn't be having discussions about mandating or legislating term limits.   Just my two cents worth of observations......
  10. I was thinking just a pellet gun or something....
  11. I would have showed him what my puny four cylinders and a CVT can do!
  12. mmm, not as cheap as you may want, but amazon has some good chemlights for about $1/each. They are 6'' and last about 12 hours. I used one to test and they sem to put off a decent amount of light.
  13. Awesome. I'm too lazy to learn how to create CAD models, so that is how I would do it if I were to do it. And I do agree about the metal printed guns being superior. I just doubt the 3-D printers that are made for printing/machining metal will ever be affordable... but hey, people are walking around with pocket computers/cameras/phones that can use the internet wirelessly within a terrestrial network, and I'm sure some idiot like me thought that back in the day that it would be impossible for people to have one so affordably....
  14. Realistically, reliable guns/gun parts printed from an affordable 3-D printers is still some ways away as I see it. On top of that though, I don't see why it would be feasible for the government to enforce such laws because of the investment in technologies that would be able to trace CAD file downloads to source IP from proxies using fake foreign-IPs, especially when the (right) proxies shouldn't record the source IPs using them. Basically, CAD files for the parts could theoretically be downloaded and used to print guns almost untracibly if needed, even if the sources are blocked in this country. people just need to make sure the printer isn't connected to a network of anykind when they are printing said files....... Just don't use a computer with an OS or browser that has a backdoor(s)...   but I am getting into some things that are way over my own head that I am sure no law-abiding sheep...er...citizen will do, even when this do become financially feasible.
  15. Update!   After a few months of this as my EDC, I doubt I will go back to a Kershaw even though the price point is great. This knife just seems far superior as far as quality goes. Another plus is that I rarely use the locking function and have never had an accidental deployment ever... didn't have that luck with either of my Kershaws (never pleasant if you have ever experienced a deployment with you hand in your knife pocket!).   Another note, found the Kershaw Leek that was my previous EDC.... and the locking mechanism finally broke....

  17. Another reason on the list to never live in that nanny/police-state area...

  19. depends on the price for me. kinda tight right now...
  20. Hoppes elite gun oil. Seems to help the spring assist mechanism repel moisture and keeps the blade easy to clean. I also use it for sharpening the blade.
  21. I refuse to wait longer than it takes to run the Background check... and fill out the transfer bill...
  22. I think the decriminalization of pot has a better chance, but it is something to think about, and a very scary concept if this tech is weaponized.....

  24. Ordered one of these for my gun build that is a work in progress. Man is it nice...
  25.   First few days after having my first nice EDC a few years back, I was opening and closing the knife with one hand, just fiddling with the knife....put the plade into the tip of my pinky bone............. Thank God for bones, or else I'd prolly  have a shorter pinky...   :usa:
