Nothing about there "music" does anything for me except make me want to turn the channel or the radio off. The same with AC/DC and Metallica, but Nickelback also leaves an adulterated feeling in my ears. To me it's not so much about them "ripping-off" other musicians, because most musicians to that to some degree, I just really don't enjoy Nickelback's music. In fact, when one of their songs hits the buzz, I reflexively turn off the radio, instinctively to avoid being subjected to music that sours my senses. I do the same to most modern country music, quite a bit or rap, as well as others. But in the rock genre, Nickelback is one band that I can't sit through more than a few seconds of their music.

If I could catch the ferry (if they still run the ferry) then I'd only be about 10-15 minutes away. Going around the river will take me an hour. Let me see if I'm on call that weekend before I commit.

Neat pump filter. I'm getting a TDS meter in sometime, I've been thinking of testing my Sawyer filter with it... but I mainly purchased the TDS meter for monitoring the hose filter thingy I'm trying for gardening. I may as well test the Faucet filter as well. So many filters, so little time. It would be cool to have a chance to test that Katadyn as well. Damn we're boring people talking about filters. You realize this, right?

  That's right. It only sucks when your party is two or three other people, so half your team is essentially cut off from communication unless you invite them to party chat and they accept the invite.

  Most media, especially entertainment,  is a form of propaganda. Music, movies, video games, etc all normalize attitudes. It's called persuasion. This doesn't mean a movie or video game is going to turn everyone into killers, but it is having a psychological effect in some capacity.
