  1. Got a Double star M4 a month before the scare and started buying mags and ammo. Now have 13 loaded mags in 556 green point penetrators and a few hundred 223 fmj. Then the scare hit. I've never shot it and can't afford more ammo. They want double if you can find it. The gun never got sighted in. I'm seriously thinking about a trade for an AK and 762x39 ammo. I see it's available and cheaper. I'm bummed out.
  2. Welcome I'm only a few days older than you here.
  3. Good to have you both here!!
  4. I havn't shot it in years but I have a  beautiful 40 year old Browning cobra11  50 # recurve. it's lite and easy to carry.  Unlike a compound when you've got it fully drawn the pull weight doesn't decrease so if you have a 45 pounder that's what your holding. I perfer the recurve , no mechanics to screw up and it's very quiet.
  5. Thank you. I've been looking for something like this site for a while. I don't get out to a range much the only one I've been to is a state one in smirna. it was ok but crowded.  I'd  love to find either a privately owned one of a gun owner who has land that he would allow me to shoot on it. I met a guy at the last Nashville gun show who had a franchise for worrior camo, we talked a while and exchanged cards . Naturally being the genious I am, I left it in my pants pocket and the Mrs. washed them. I hope he's at the next one.
  6. that's true I can't even afford my own work
  7. Hi , Totally aggree with you. Isn't it amazing how fast 5.56 ammo dissapeared from  on line suppliers and how the price has at least doubled at gun shows? Having  an FFL is a good idea yes, so is having unregestered weapons nearby.
  8. I'm a gun owner in Nashville who like many is concerned  with anyone fooling around with our 2nd amendment rights.  I own several hand guns from  a north american arms 22 mag. and 1911 .45 comander, to a FN X 9.  a few long guns with  and shotguns. I'm a little nervous to say exactly what and ehere they are. I'm also a woodworker with my son. Our web page, www.kunkelandson.com
