I had Dish from Oct-98 to Oct-11. I never had any issue with them. I miss the NFL Network and the luxury of MNF on ESPN. Otherwise, I'm 100% glad I dropped it. I would consider getting some form of cable again if all of the providers didn't use gimmicky introductory offers. It's a PITA comparing features and pricing apples to apples. In the meantime, I'm over $600 richer now than i would have been. That will buy a lot of ammo! Hehe.

In the 10 months I've had my phone, the phone's datalog has matched what Verizon metered within 100MB or so. I've compared them monthly to make sure. I did have 100MB of use on the last day of my month's cycle, and it appeared on the next month's usage according to VZN. I had about 600MB before I reached my limit. Had I run the WiFi hard to "get my money's worth," getting as close to my limit as possible, I would have been robbing my next month's allowance of more than 100MB. They clearly reset the meter before midnight. Oh well.

Does the NRA offer anything comparable? Or is their insurance only for firearms?

Very true about Trump, but regarding the other part of your comment, a President that is as hip and cool as Mr. Obama who goes on every TV show possible for votes and concerns himself with arguing pop divas should graciously accept such an offer if it means $5 million to the charity of his choice. He gets to: shut up an attention seeker, make his assertion laughable, take his money, likely gain votes from the Told-You-So moment, and watch a charity profit? There could arise a situation where the shooter was strictly by the book, but a biased witness lies to paint a racial picture. I guess it still comes down to "rather be tried by 12 than carried by 6." Anti-gun or gun-neutral people don't have a clue what kind of responsibility we put on ourselves for the sake of protecting ourselves while they think we're a bunch of wannabe cowboys.

I'll go ahead and ask it... what if during a legitimate self-defense shooting a witness claims the victim (potential defendant) used a racially derogatory word or phrase while defending his or her life? Is that a "game changer?" In this politically correct world we now live in, did self-defense just become a hate crime (or "civil case" crime) because of something said in the heat of the moment? Do we need to incorporate Minority Motivational Encouragement into our self-defense training? "You fine young man. I know you are trying to get your life turned around, but I must ask you to stop, or I'll shoot."

If possible have someone watch you shoot. They may identify something else you're doing or confirm you're pulling. And practice dry-firing and aligning the sights prior to your range time. That's been a big help to me.

Thanks. My thoughts are due to the following... I have a pro-gun relative that gets handed HCP's as a form of ID quite often, and of those that do it, 50% have a "Look at me, look at me" smirk. They aren't helping our cause. Take people that are gun-neutral or anti-gun when they are on the receiving end of those smirks. It just makes us all look bad. Even without a smirk, the anti's or neutral's are more likely to have a negative opinion. I prefer to let the sheeple keep living in their fantasy while I live in mine.
