  2. i have a very nice remington 700 deluxe in 30-06. the gun shoots great but i would love to either have some trigger work done or replace the springs to give a better triggerl. i'm not wanting to spend a bunch of money on something; so, i thought i would ask if anyone has found somethng that works great.

  11. i appreciate the help....
  12. 223 is just fine...go shoot a half inch steel plate with a 30-06 and than shoot it with a .223 the crater is almost the exact same with the 223 going through the plate everynow and than. you are just fine with the ar and have fun!
  13. what purpose does it need to serve? shoot coyotes or make your naughty parts tingle?
  14. that was an easy one.........lol
  15. what is the best way to age a deer? do you just go by how large the base of the antlers are? i know once you shoot them you can look at the teeth and tell by how much they are worn down(not quite sure what to look for though), any good ides or pointers on how to tell the age? both from the scope and up close?
  16. that is when i shot my 8pt last year....opening day of muzzleloader at 7 40 in the morning. didn't find the booger till noon, thought i wasnt go to bring him home but i did!
  17. i have been thinking and planning my hunting out this year and i want to try and set dates that go along with the rut. i have heard that november 8-14 are good days for hunting the rut and the middle of octoberm. does anyone have "set dates" for the rut and how do they all come into the rut at the same time? also...does anybody notice a difference when it is a full moon the night before? it seems like the deer don't move as early in the morning. i have hunted for 2 year now and feel like i just started....there is a lot more to hunting then sitting in a stand! it's an art!
  18. might be a little off the thread but still dealing with the same thing....say i want to make my ar full auto...can i go to a dealer and just get the trigger group and do the stamp and all the waiting? i have heard it has to be a preban lower and all sorts of stuff....can someone clear the air? thanks
  19. bill springfield sounds pretty good and very fairly priced! i could have both of mine done for less than the price of a rock river!
  20. i'm looking for a good trigger kit for my ar-15. i'm not wanting to spend 200 bucks on one but just want an improvement from stock. does anybody have one or know where something decent is?
  21. good lil home defence kit
  22. yea, handgun loads barely dent it, big stuf craters it, especially high dollar ammo!!
  23. only hornady ammo comes back because it does some serious damage. and the jacket that came apart was from cheap ammo. it is not a normal thing, and they do hang at a little bit of an angle because the chains are welded onto the back or the discs.
  24. well....i have had some bounce back...i was 50 yards away and was shooting a 30-06, i was useing some remington core-lock and the steal jacket separated and flew back and hit the 4-wheeler i was standing behind...it dug a hugh piece or plastic out. all i know is i sure wouldnt want to get hit with that even at 50 yards! i did keep it, i should take a picture post it up for you guys to see. i normally use hornady ammo, when i shoot the discs at 50 yards i can hear metal coming back and hitting my truck, so you do have to be careful. the hornady puts some huge dents in the disc!! it's great ammo!
