    ak-47?

i think the mak90 sounds pretty good if i can convert the thumb hole stock to a regular stock and pistol grip.

    ak-47?

i'm not a big fan of the stocks with a hole in it. is it possible to go from an underfold to a wood stock of vise versa?

    ak-47?

as far as money goes...anywhere from 400-700ish i guess. i like the standard wood stock or the underfold a lot! yes, 7.62x39! lots of left over ammo from the sks i'm trying to sell and i figure i will replace it with it's older better brother the ak!

    ak-47?

i'm selling some guns on here to help pay for closing costs on a house...under the condition me wife makes sure i will be able to replace these guns in the near future when we figure out where we are going to live...my question..... i'm thinking of replacing them with an ak-47 who makes the top of the line and who makes the bottom of the barrel? i know to stay away from wasr-10 but that's about it. who is 1 2 3 4 5....in the making of ak? i want to learn now so i will be able to keep an eye out for a good one. thanks!
  6. i wasn't really sold on the 17 rem, it seems to close to the 223 to go buy a new gun, even though i love a reason to buy a new gun just don't have the money right now, actually trying to sell some!
  7. i think i'm going to stick with 223 for the availablity of ammo and the price!
  8. can't wait till my boys shoot a yote! my boys are 2.5 and 6 months...they got a ways to go before they get into the woods with me! shoot, i can't wait till i get a yote! haven't shot one yet but hopefully soon!
  9. I think i ment Vmax not Amax.....how do you attract a bobcat to shoot? i would love to shoot one over a bobcat. do you do it the same way and just hope a bobcat comes instead of a yote?
  10. why not just use a 223 with the hornady Amax fragment type bullet?
  11. why is it bad news to hunt coyote in TN with an AR?
  12. i think i'm going to stick with the ar-15 loaded with hornady A-max 55gr and also taking my pump shotgun....are you not allowed to use buck shot on yotes? here's a question....why do they call it buckshot when you can't hunt deer or animals with it? it should be called homedefense shot or burglershot. lol
  13. does anybody eat yotes or do you just shoot em, take a picture, do a little dance and leave? or can they be used for anything? i hate to shoot something and not eat it but i know these things are nasty little animals that most people want gone!
  14. i have a call but not to sure if i'm making it sound right. i need to get on youtube and watch and listen to see if i'm making the right noises or not! or have someone teach me, but i don't know anyone! lol
  15. what is the best time to hunt coyote? is it more late afternoon at sunset or earlier at sunrise?
  16. i have an old parkhurst double looks just like that, my grandpa cut it down probably in the 50s for home defense. it is a damascus barrel, never shot it. guntroll, why wouldn't you shoot a damascus barrel?
  17. i love leupolds as well, it is always my first choice for a great scope in my price range but just wondered if there was a better bang for the buck when it came to the sabr
  18. does anybody have any experience with the leupole SABR(i think that is what it is called) scope for the shotguns and muzzle loaders? i need to do some scope swapping and may be saving up for one of these scopes for next season if it is worth it. jim shockey says it's good, but he is paid to say that! lol
  19. i didn't see it myself but the owner of the dog did....he made it sound like ground hogs gone wild, almost killed the dog. he said he had seen ground hogs attack before when they are together in what he called a pack(guess he ment several) but never by themselves. i guess if there aren't pictures it's not true, right? lol
  20. if somebody wants the next groundhog i shoot, let me know, i will be more than glad to let you cook and eat him but i have plenty of deer in my freezer!
  21. ok, since some people have to know the whole story....a pack of the bastages(groundhogs) attacked the neighbors dog and almost killed him. beautiful little tiger stripped something or other. i didn't kill him for the fun of it, i have 2 dogs there and don't want them to be attacked by these things. my shop is in city limits in madison and i can't shoot him with a gun. trust me, that is my first choice to shoot something with. if you don't like what i did, i don't care. was i excited when i posted this story, heck ya, you ever hunt and be glad when you finally shoot something? i have been trying to shoot him for 3 weeks.
  22. my wife's grandparents have a farm in indiana, there is a barn by one of the fields close to the house and several groundhogs life under the barn. those things can clear out a huge piece beans quick! i shot one beginning of the year and they were quite glad. they wanted me to stay and shoot the rest of them.
  23. after several weeks of trying to kill a groundhog behind my shop i finally did it! i shot him at 34 yards with my bow. shot him in the belly and he fell over and laid there for a few minutes. i walked up to shoot him again if needed and he flopped in circles while i watched my arrow brake into 3 pieces as he rolled into his hole before i could shoot him again. i'm sure he is dead...or will be dead soon. by the size of him, he was the grand daddy and i believe there are other ones in the hole as well that arent as big as he was. i'm sure we will be smelling him soon! anytime i get to shoot something at work, it was a good day! lol
  24. you can never have to many levers!!!! my favorite is the 1873 the 1895 and the colt bisley!
  25. thanks, i love it to death! it feels great in your hand and shooting it!
