  1. my next build on an AR is going to be a pistol, i'm pretty excited about it. my question is...am i able to put a forearm pistol grip on it? can a pistol have a forearm grip or can only a rifle have one?
  2. i have never had any problem with any of my glocks....today i had 3 jams. one in my 23 from old hollow point ammo and 2 in my 27 with federal FMJ target ammo. never before had this problem and i'm surprised to have 3 in one day. in the 27 they both seemed to be around the 6-7 shot, i wonder if it has something to do with the mag, although the spring seems to be strong. both guns were cleaned last week so i know it wasn't due to dirt. hmmm

  4. i was at an AC class tonight for my work...... first thing i thought was funny...i see a red laser flash across the room and than here it goes again....i quickly turn around and scan the room to see where the threat is coming from(i just knew someone had a gun with a laser on it....funny how your mind thinks) it was the teacher trying to get his pointer to work. lol second thing that got me thinking, a guy was carrying a glock 23 open carry, shirt tucked in and just right there for all to see. i don't agree with open carry in public and was trying to think of the plus side of open carry. anybody have any, i can't think of any good ones really. i was tired and didn't feel like asking him why he did. i just carried my G27 and know body knew.
  5. i will love to have that 357 ammo! pm sent
  6. ok ok, maybe i shouldn't fan it....but i am going to have a ton of fun with this gun!!
  7. i just picked up a super clean and slick ruger super blackhawk in the awesome 44mag! it is SS and has the best barrel length for single action shooting IMO the 4 3/4. what i am wanting to do is do something with the action. is it simple to do an action job on this? i would like to make it smooth so i can play with fanning the hammer and playing with it. any ideas?
  8. i have the leupold and wouldn't buy anything else again, works awesome. switches easily from bow to different selections for rifles. mine was 350ish
  9. all my items are shipped out as of today.

  15. well, guys, my hunt in africa is going to be really interesting! i just spoke with my contact in africa and found out how it is going to go down! he said all i need is a good pair or boots and they will take me hunting with them. they use dogs, traps and yes, the spear! i think it will be very interesting at the least! does anybody know if remington or winchester makes a spear? lol oh, boy, maybe i could sneak my super redhawk over with me! lol JK
  16. david from africa txt me and said i would just need very good boots. it will be 100 deg on average and will need some light weight boots that aren't to hot. any ideas?
  17. after talking with my wife i now see how much stuff we have to take with us. since a gun case is one check in item to fly with us, and we only get 2 items per person, we will really need the room for more suitcases and not guns. i will just use a gun from over there! i'm just glad i will get to hunt something
  18. well, where i am going to hunt there isn't any real law in the area. but if i understand him right the people in charge of the village are going to take me hunting(hope i'm not the hunted lol JK) not sure on the type of antalope, i may not take a rifle and just use what they use...it must work they are still alive, well, some of them are...amybe i should take my own gun....lol
  19. haha, no but i have probably sent him $10,00 over the years for the orphanage! i'm thinking about taking my single shot 44mag so i can take it apart and put it in my suit case. i'm good out to 200yards with that thing which will be plenty.
  20. my wife just called me.....i get to hunt wild hog and antelope in africa!!!!!! i can't believe it!!! i need to get some more details if i am going to use their guns or bring my own or what!! awesome!
  21. i just got a txt from my contact in africa and he said he had good news for me about hunting while i am in africa in june! he is going to call me tomorrow and give me the details. i don't care if it is throwing spears at rabbits with the tribes man or plains game i will take anything! lol i will let you guys know tomorrow
  22. don't refinish the whole stock! that would kill the value of that rifle, pre-64 winchesters are very expensive! i think it would be just fine to float the barrel the way you described
  23. how about i sell them to you and you can use them for target practice!!
  24. in the middle of moving i lost the keys to one of the gun cabinets(i have 3). it is a stack-on metal cabinet that is not fire proof, just one of the $200 cabinets to keep guns from kids. i called stack-on and the lady told me to drill the lock and they will send a replacement lock and key set(i have 2 of these and now i will have one key to open both cabinets) for $15. any idea how long it took me to drill the lock out? 20 seconds with a good 1/4inch drill bit and my snap-on drill. 20 seconds!!!! i thought it would have taken a little bit longer like a minute or two. nope, 20 seconds. i'm now thinking about selling both of the cheap stamped steal stack-ons and buying another fire proof safe from cannon or another stack-on fire proof/water proof safe to match the one i have.
  25. are you going to name the baby surprise? lol jk my neighbor(catholic) seems to have a baby every other year for as long as i have known them. i think she is 47-50ish at the last kid and has never had any trouble FWIT. my prayers are with you and the new baby.
