  1. sounds like the scope doesn't have much relief
  2. i have H4064 and like to keep common powders, but if 380 is better, i will buy that no with no problem. i try to keep things simple lol
  3. i am now waiting for my new 22-250 to be shipped to me. in the mean time, i am getting all my ducks in a row to load up some ammo and go shooting! i have never reloaded for this caliber and would like some of your favorite combinations for an accurate load. i have a set of lee dies that i bought last year. i heard that H380 (?) was a good powder as well. i am looking for a long range varmint round, probably going to try a 55gr nosler balastic tip or a hornady 55gr vmax. i'm also looking at trying some nosler brass. thought i would see what you guys use. oh, the rifle is a remington 700 VS 26inch heavy barrel with a H S precision stock.

    what to do

yes, i do reload my ammo. well, i decided on a remington 700 vs in 22-250. i found a great buy on one on auctionarms.com. i figured if the 243 was already a good shooter, i would rather put the money in a new rifle which i have always wanted. i will stay play with the 243 loads and use it. i can't wait to get my new rifle and play with it!

    what to do

yeah, i like that it comes with a h s stock and already has a good set of rings on it and looks great! i have wanted a 22 250 for a long time though, but i want the best system and wonder if the 243 will be better than a 22 cal at longer ranges. it may not make that big of a difference at 400 yards, i dunno

    what to do

i'm not quite sure what to do, so i thought i would see what my fellow TGOers think. right now for my varmint rifle i am using my 243 with 90gr balastic tip, works great. so far, the only thing i have killed with it is a squirrel at 222 yards, the gun is a great shooter. i have the funds for a new rifle, i only got the 243 in the first place because i got a great deal on it, i really wanted a 22-250. i have been looking at the remington 700 22-250 vs with a heavy barrel but only weighs in at 8.5 lbs. i have also considered the 204 ruger as being a good one and building another AR in 223 with a 20 inch barrel. here is where i hunt and what i want to do, i yote hunt up in indiana and can shoot at them up to 600 yards, i am not anywhere good enough to shoot at 600 yards, so i am wanting get a system where i can shoot 400 yards or so. i want something with a flat trajectory and still hits hard at 300 or 400 yards. if i stick with my 243 i will buy an H S stock and get a better scope for it, or i will use the money to buy a new rifle and than later buy a nice scope for it. thoughts, ideas, comments?

    truck gun?

pretty cool to have1911 and ars in all of your trucks. i have 2 boys that love to play in my truck so i don't leave guns in there for several reason. it is always good to be ready! sounds like you are good to go!

    truck gun?

one of my friends had his keltec stolen out of his truck while he was less than 20 feet away from it. i only keep loaded mags in my truck, if those get stolen who cares, it isn't the gun!

    truck gun?

i always hear people say "this gun will make a good truck/beater gun" but do people really have "truck" guns and if so, what is it and lets see how rough they are and where you keep them in your truck. i believe i have said that same thing before, but i don't keep any guns in my truck, just my carry weapon which never leaves my side.

  24. not a bad idea whiskey! she didn't ask what weapon or if it was on wma or not. i wonder if it has to get reported to twra by someone or if it automatically gets sent to them that it was an incorrect check-in.
  25. i'm just gonna sit back and see what happens. if he gets fined i will help him pay for it or all of it depending on how much it is.
