  1. The first one she did not check and clear it first with a mag inserted. We had to do that in basic before we could get a pass on post.
  2. Folks be strange and we be folks!
  3. Same with me, I would rather have a working gun than show off piece. I do have to agree with the OP on the Kimber Custom II, mine is very good and feels better than some more expensive 1911s I have handled. Only thing is the plastic MSH, I do not know if I can live with it though there has been no reported problems with it.
  4. Man wannabes!
  5. Brass thickness (most likely), the die that resized it, bullet. Many things could have caused it but as long as it fits the chamber and magazine I would not worry.
  6. Howdy and Welcome back to TGO
  7. Cute little pup for sure!
  8. Until the next incident!
  9. Very nice sheath!
  10. Very nice shape for one!
  11. The GI has that " This is Going to Happen" look on his face.
  12. Love my mutt. Shelter rescue pup.
  13. Always good to stock up on 22lr.
  14. Well the 1911-A1 pistols the ARMY had in my time were well taken care of but many were older than I was and stuff just wears out even though parts are replaced. Many of the pistols sounded like a tin can full of screws when shakened. None were very accurate in my experience.
  15. A couple months ago I bought a Sig 1911-22, fun little gun. I really like how it handled, I have not handled a 1911 since the ARMY changed to 9mm. I never liked the issued 1911 pistols because I never had one that was worth a damn. Well I handled a Ruger SR1911 CMD and it just felt so good that I got it, then a Taurus PT1911. The Taurus was a basic model but I then handled a Kimber Custom II, well ended up trading the Taurus in on the Kimber. I am usually a Glock guy but since proving up the Ruger and Kimber for carry I have been carrying and shooting them. I am in store for more 1911 style pistols? Jeez I hope so. Never thought I would go 1911.
  16. Howdy and Welcome to TGO
  17. Good shotgun and slug range also. Seems you may be on to something.
  18. I live not far from it and have a yearly membership. Well worth it for me, I shoot a lot!   And the folks are great in my opinion.
  19. Seems to be bad reloads in most cases for the Glocks. Check around and you will find other brands with this problem also and even other calibers, same thing bad reloads in most cases.
  20. Folks do not get too happy as of yet. Wait until we see what the future holds and then we can do a happy dance!
  21. Person comes off like a real idiot to me. Some do not understand that the law abiding folks are law abiding and criminals are not, plain and simple!
  22. Howdy and Welcome back to Tennessee and to TGO
  23. Congrats on your new Glock, they are good guns!
