  3. Somebody needs to be spanked and spanked hard!
  4. Had 2, one the trigger pin walked out quite often. No problem to push it back in. The other never gave a problem. Hard also to find mags and holsters that fit correctly. Accurate pistols.
  5. Some that are completely different are the CZ as mentioned and 1911 type pistols. The 1911 types have a completely different trigger system and thinner grip. I have a Rock Island Armory 1911-A1 FS Tactical that is a pleasure to shoot with a nice trigger for around $450.
  6. Nice looking pistol. They have a rep for a very good trigger.

  9. RIA has one of if not the best setups for ambi safeties. The sear pin is extra long with a slot for the safety edge to ride in. I do not like ambi safeties either but if it has to have one this is the one to have.
  10. Working 12-31-14 and 1-1-15. Someone has to keep the world turning!
  11. Always good advice!

  13. Nice pistol and like the RIA compact, too. I have the RIA FS Tactical in 9mm.
  14. Gun smith. Call the one at Guns & Leather in Greenbrier. I would not try that myself and I am handy with tools, industrial maintenance.
  15. For a nice dress type gun belt the Beltman is hard to beat!
  16. Howdy Mike and Welcome to TGO
  17. Put it on TP holder until I sit then hold it until done then reverse until I am fully ready. I understand, had my gall bladder out in 2003. Edited to add my carry gun now is a 1911-A1 type pistol in a belt slide holster.
  18. My RIA 9mm FS Tactical and both Kimber Custom II have black sights, I use white appliance paint to put a dot on the front sights and it works very well for me. I make the white dot as tall as the the front sight is wide.
  19. Good thoughts and prayers for you and yours.
  20. Howdy Ron and Welcome to TGO
  21. I have a RIA 1911-A1 FS Tactical in 9mm. After the first 100 rounds it has run very well. Not the tightest or best looking gun but is accurate. Good gun for the money. Mine does have a plastic MSH. Has caused no problems but my Kimber Custom II has a plastic MSH also.
  22. Great job by the young boy and homeless guy!

    1911 low down

I have just recently got into 1911 style pistols. The one I have that is accurate and reliable is a Kimber Custom II. It is a basic model with blacked out sights, I painted a large white dot on the front sight and it has been the most accurate pistol I have owned. I liked it so much I purchased another one. I have 2 Kimbers and 2 Ruger SR1911s, a government and a CMD models. Just picked up a RIA 1911-A1 FS Tactical in 9mm. It runs quite well after the first 100 rounds..
  24. Don't do pictures but 12-20-2014 I got a RIA 1911-A1 FS Tactical in 9mm. As of today I have put over 875 rounds thru it! Nice pistol.
  25. How stupid was that? Very in my opinion!
