When oil/gas go up a lot of other things will also go up due to petroleum being used in their manufacture. Most folks do not know the amount of petroleum used in creating other things.

I think you did it right, do not ever make it worse. If you have to draw or shoot do it and do not talk about. If you do draw or shoot always be the first to call the police about it!

I have 2 MS-FS (full size) models and they run anything I stick in them. Accurate pistols.
