  1. I had to play with the grips for awhile but finally settle on the smallest as best for me. All the grips worked well but the small one worked best for feel and natural point of aim.
  2. I, too, suggest the Beltman belts. I have 2 and find them very good for OWB/IWB wear. Go to his site and check out the options you can choose from and pay once cry once. Not the least expensive but worth it in my opinion.
  3. This the way people die. Got to have a little knowledge of your sport and the area you are in. Too many people do dumb stuff like this and then much time and money is spent rescuing them.
  4. Burgers on the hoof!
  5. Weed eater? Lawn mower? I give up.
  6. As for holsters, I use a Blade-Tech holster for a M&P 9mm full size and it works well for me. The pistol is large but to me it carries as well as a full size M&P or 1911.
  7. Any of you folks own Canik pistols? I have 3, two TP9s and a C-100. I have found these pistols to be a good value but their prices are starting to go up. I have a TP9-SA, TP9-V2 poly pistols and a C-100 all metal hammer fired pistol. They are accurate and have pretty good triggers. The poly pistols have a decocker on the slide at the rear while the C-100 is a clone of the CZ 75B compact but with a aluminum frame. I enjoy the way they fit me and the feel of the grip plus the TP9s hold 18 rounds in the mags, If you have not checked out the Canik line of pistols I would suggest you do so before their price goes up any more.
  8. Why should just one color of folks lives matter? All lives matter. If they have ever "had" to take a life they would understand this!
  9. It's government active with aliens I tell you!
  10. Don't need any made up boogey men, we got plenty real ones in the world!
  11. Doesn't need to, she is innocent by reason of not knowing the rules! She gets off free.
  12. Yep. For some reason I like rubber grips. Put them on every thing I can.
  13. I have a Canik C-100 which is a CZ 75B compact clone. Turned out to be a fine pistol, about $200 less than the CZ. So similar that I can not tell one from the other in low light. The Canik mag holds one more round than the CZ and the CZ mags will work with a hard push into the mag well. If you like all metal pistols then check out the Caniks. They also make good poly pistols.
  14. We not only have to worry about the dems/libs but also the rinos. We are pretty much screwed to the wall!
  15. Made by man and it will break. Don't be jumping up and down on the handle. Glad they will get you back up and reloading.
  16. For pistols you have owned or shot at least 100 rounds thru would you not trust for self defense? For me only one that was not reliable enough to carry. A Taurus 1911 pistol, had so many different problems and not a cure for all problems. Finally traded it off with knowledge of the problems. Don't want someone to get a problem pistol from me without knowing what I know about it.
  17. Poly, all metal, striker or hammer fired, small, medium or large and do you carry it. Also brand, model and any other info you find helpful. I'll start with mine. I like all metal, hammer fired compact to standard size. I carry all my pistols so they have to perform. Some I really like are RIA 1911 9mm/45 acp. The CZ 75B series. Springfield 1911 in Commander to full size (5"). Kimber Stainless II in 45 acp. Basically I like the way they feel in my hand and they seem to have a natural point of aim and I shoot them fairly well. I also like the mechanics of them. I also like blacked out rear sight and big white dot up front.
  18. Good pic, I like it!
  19. Howdy and Welcome to TGO Don't know about you but a job helped me stay sane and happy. Retirement is nice but some can not just quit work and be happy. Maybe a part time job or a job dealing with your hobbies. I retired in 1992 so I seemed to have gotten over the retirement hump.
  20. So the family got adopted by the pup. Good news.
  21. I figure that shooting a attacker is as fair a trial as they should get!
  22. Have to be 110% when riding so be careful!
  23. The question is would any of the new requirements have stopped a shooting? Did any of the old laws stop a shooting?
  24. 1911s in 9mm, in any size, are fun to shoot!
  25. Another example of a armed citizen doing good!
