I have used 800X for both 10mm and 40S&W. It is a hot load powder. Only downside is it does not meter well. Have to measure each and every charge.

Shot some in the past and had no problems. They shot as well or a little better than others I have used.

Extractor blew off. May be a "HOT" round or something wrong with bolt/chamber. I would contact Savage Arms and see what they say. I do think Savage needs to check it out. Just my opinion and worth every penny you paid for it!

Target shooting to 150 yards (shotgun clays) I use a 22lr. A highly modified 10/22. Lots of fun and builds up good habits and is less expensive.

I have always thought the CZ 75 was up there with the 1911 and better than the Hi Power. Very good pistols that have been copied by a lot of companies and countries.
