9 years old it could be calcium build up insulating the thermostat and it probably has quite a bit of build up inside the tank. Try the stat replacement first but beqware that once problems start they don't stop! Had to replace my tank last year after only 8 1/2 years of use.

Has anyone here tried Winchesters Auto Comp powder in the 40 S&W cartridge for reloading? Looking at the specs it seems like it may be good powder with a lower chamber pressure. Anyone know how it burns, cleanliness and accuracy and best size/weight of bullets? Thanks for any info.
