In combat trigger pull, reset or creep really just goes out the window since you are so pumped so I would think the same in a SD situation.

Some folks like them and some don't. I have only used issued rifles and have no great need to own one, yet!

I, as a regular civillian, have never used a rail. Have in the military for rifles. If the price is good and it fits you and feels good in the hand then go for it. Don't handle a Sig!

I always have one in the chamber. Never know when you will not have a couple of seconds to rack the slide. There are procedures where you can learn to rack a slide one handed.

Aftermarket for lead and no your Glock is a fine handgun. I have reloaded many rounds from Glocks for Glocks with no problems what so ever. In fact shot some lead from my stock G23 the other day, just watch for build up in front of the chamber.

Buy firearm, must pay the $10 background check fee, get firearm. Go to authorized HCP class, get certification paperwork, go to DMV and pay $115, fill out paperwork, go to finger print location (included in $115) wait on HCP if everything goes right and no hits on background checks. Always follow safety rules and get to know your firearm, practice as much as possible.
