    New pistol

Ones I like are, CZ75BD full size or compact,  S&W M&P 9mm full size, Sig 226 and Ruger SR9 then Glock. I think the S&W M&P is a step ahead of the Glock in many ways and the others I picked are metal hammer guns except for the Ruger.

  4. I don't do .45ACp and she doesn't shoot so the next will have to be mine, too!  :pleased:
  5. A review of my new hand gun. America made. :usa: Picked up a new SR9 Ruger (9mm) from Tennessee Gun Country yesterday, stainless barrel and slide, poly frame. Got it for a good price. Handled it for a little while and decided to buy it. I have never owned a Ruger semi auto pistol before. Grip seemed a little slick at first, it isn't. Controls in correct places for me, ambi safety and magazine release. I patched the bore then shot 10 17 round magazines thru it. Ammo was all reloads, medium to max, jacketed and plated bullets, 115gr -124gr-125gr-130gr-147gr. Bullets were round nose, flat point and hollow point. No function problems and it was one of the most accurate out of box handguns I have ever fired. Its accuracy is as good as my CZ 75D which is very good for me. The gun ran everything thru it flawlessly and ejected all brass to same general area. I find the stock sights are good for me. The loaded chamber indicator is large and on top of the slide, I don't like it but it does not interfere with holstering or firing. Front sight is drift adjustable and the rear has a screw for elevation adjustments also drift adjustable. Take down is quite abit more complicated than a Glock. Magazines are more expensive than Glocks. Overall this handgun impressed me especially for the price. Very happy with this purchase but my wife isn't.
  6. Anyone been? I have been a couple of times. Bigger store, very nice range, enjoyed both visits. Stop by if you get a chance, also they have new hours. Not connected with them just like their new setup.

  15. My avatar is my last unit/combat patch.
  16. Remove flare to point that the cartridge falls into the chamber and falls out on its own. No crimp is really needed except for higher powered revolver ammo. My opinion.

  22. Make sure it is not the ammo or optics first then stock if you are willing to throw money at it. Many times the problem is really simple or else very complex. Hope you get running right.
  23. I have a CZ75BD Police and CZ75D Compact. Both have been more accurate for me than Glocks. Tighter/shorter chambers? Some reloads for the Glocks had to be reworked to fit the CZ's. Mine shoot straighter and tighter than the Glocks did. More complicated than Glocks and less aftermarket items. For holsters I am using Tagau IWB holsters made for a 5" and a 4" 1911's. I think they have  a good  trigger for carry purposes.
