If you want to take Joe's advice and mentor with a master, you can ask our gunsmith Jeff Walle if you can. Jeff graduated from CO school of trade in 1979, and has been a career smith ever since. There are a few other excellent smith's around this area too. We're just 45mins or so from Clarksville proper.

Actually I was more referring in my first post to the fact the *I* have never put the gun in the holster backwards. I'm not trying to imply that it cannot or should not be done - if that's how you wanna train, go for it. I should have worded the second post a little better, "I dont" is refering to the fact that I dont take classes or anything. I love the intrawebz.

Overreact much? I don't. I'm not one of those operators or anything special. The SERPA is a excellent holster for me, and thousands of other average joes that use them on a daily basis with no problems.

You know its funny, I've carried a 19 in a Serpa for a few years now and somehow I havent shot myself either. Then agian, I've never put the gun in the holster backwards either.

Eh, it's just something different. My brother will prolly trade his MSAR for it if I have my guess. Am I the only one that doesnt get very excited about stuff like this anymore? Maybe I've just gotten desensatized.
