  1. Yeah what he's saying (auto-fire, hammer not cocking all the way) are usually indications of a screwed up sear.
  2. Sounds like the sear is broken. When the hammer doesnt cock fully does it at least go to half-cock? That happens on 1911's, especially custom 1911's, when people drop the slide on an empty chamber repeatadly. YOUR RECEIPT SERVES AS YOUR PROOF OF OWNERSHIP FOR WARRANTY PURPOSES. A COPY OF THIS WILL BE REQUIRED IN THE EVENT WARRANTY REPAIR WORK IS NEEDED IN THE FUTURE. Dan Wesson Warranty Center For all DAN WESSON brand pistols and revolvers please call 1-607-336-1174 or e-mail dwservice@cz-usa. ----- Bolding and highlighting are not mine - so dont think I'm trying to imply you broke it. The few times we've needed to deal with CZ on warranty work they've been professional and pretty quick about things, so I think worst customer service is a stretch. Try dealing with Taurus haha. Anyway, you may try to see what a local shop can do for you as far as speaking to CZ about sending it back for repair.

Have you ever dealt with H&K?
  4. Yup. We carried em for awhile, had to stop after a 90%+ fail rate.
  5. This.
  6. 5:00pm as usual, till we get sleepy.

I've got a K model, and runs anything I want to feed it flawlessly. I've yet to have a single failure with it. I'll SBR the darn thing one of these days!
  8. Octivarium, Systematic Chaos, and Images and Words are excellent albums. Scenes from a memory also is a great album as well!
  9. I kinda wanted a SCAR, but the recipricating bolt bothers me for some reason. Will prolly trade my AR for the ACR when it's available.
  10. Short answer = far. We're north of Nashville a bit, by about 20-30mins or so. But if you want to make a day of it, lemme know, I'll tell you a day I have off and we can shoot on our range/eyeball stuff all you want.

  15. I was in the same boat growing up (not that I'm much older than you, really). Seems to be Knoxville and Chattanooga would be a good place to open G&L V 2.0 & 3.0.
  16. I wouldnt mind getting a bottle of this either... Index. Just because if it's good enough for a conehead, its good enough for me. But, I'd be down for a AK bottle as well.

Guinness is the hoss. However, as I cant get Guinness in Greenbrier as easily, Coors light is the awsome. Period.
  19. Wait, what? I thought every man was born with the innate knowledge of how to make chili?
  20. To add to the suppressor argument, outdoor ranges have closed down due to noise conserns due to the residential areas that have built up near them. That's what happened to the Millersville outdoor range I believe. Not that even if they are released from being NFA everyone will have one, but it couldnt hurt.

    Heritage arms?

Heritage revolvers are ok, nothing really great, but they serve their purpose if you're looking for a cheapish toy. And by toy I mean a plinking revolver.
  22. I've never seen a ATI factory slider stock last for more than a week before breaking. There is a crease at the joint where the actual buttpad meets the arms of the stock, thus when you grab the pad and pull back on the stock ... snapperoo.
  23. Carrabbas, most definately. Their steak is superb, and they have the best alfredo I have ever eaten.
  24. I own all three. I havent turned on my Wii in about two years. I play my 360 rarely. The 360 is way more of an FPS'ers console than the PS3 is if thats all you want. I play FPS's on my PC where they should be played . The 360 DOES have some really cool games on it that are not shooters, Star Ocean & Fable 1&2 comes to mind, but the PS3 is getting SO in the coming year and it will be a better version than the 360 one. And if you want to play online and only have the Arcade version, and dont want to run an ethernet cable to the machine, the wireless adapter is another $100. That said, PS3 gets way way more of my time than the 360 does. Just more games on it that I enjoy playing than the xbox. PS3 online is free (and all the times I've ever played online with it - Street Fighter 4, namely - its been excellent), its a blu ray player, has wireless built in, blah blah so on so forth. The Playstation Store gets more of my money than anything. I've heard wind of them thinking about starting up a "Premium" service for PSN, but wont be require in order to play online. EDIT: as for the hard drive, it is required to play original XBOX games, but not all of them. There is a list of games that are backwards compatible, but there are some that still require a firmware update to play. Installation 360 games does speed up load times, but it's not required that I know of. PS3 games do the installation thing too, and some require it.
  25. HARRIMAN — A homeowner fatally shot a 19-year-old Rockwood man during a burglary, and authorities have charged an alleged accomplice in the break-in. Michael S. Johnson died at the Roane Medical Center of injuries sustained about 7:55 p.m. Sunday after he entered through a window of the home at 419 Old Valley Road, according to a report filed by Roane County Sheriff’s Office Detective Greg Scalf. Authorities arrested Preston D. Harvest, also 19, of Harriman and charged him with attempted aggravated burglary and vandalism. He was being held today in jail in lieu of $52,000 bond. According to Scalf’s report, the homeowner alerted authorities that someone had broken into his home and he believed he shot the intruder. Responding officers located Johnson and Harvest, but the report did not state where they were found. “Mr. Harvest admitted to RCSO deputies at the scene that he and the shooting victim had planned on burglarizing the resident’s home earlier that day, and added that later they had come back to the home and had attempted to force the homeowner’s front door open,†Scalf wrote in the report. Harvest said he waited outside as Johnson entered the home through a window. A few moments later Harvest said he heard gunfire. Scalf said crime scene investigators determined there was physical evidence confirming the homeowner’s version of what occurred and that Johnson was shot inside the home. Johnson’s body was sent to the Regional Forensic Center in Knoxville for an autopsy. Roane County Sheriff Jack Stockton was unavailable today for comment because he was engaged in the probe, his office said. Once the investigation is complete the results will be sent to the District Attorney’s Office for review, Scalf noted in his report.
