While it is possible Bud's could have sold a stolen firearm (IE received the weapon on their trade-in program and was reported as such after the fact) it's more likely the dealer sick of Buds. Hell, I've been there.

Got it in today. I'm quite impressed, even the trigger is not what you'd think a stock Ruger rifle would be. They did their homework on this one.

With this and a few other pre-shot announcements it would seem that 2011 will be a pretty good year for new stuff!

We've got one. It's kinda neat, just not my cup o' tea personally. They are also quite expesive for a derringer.. Can't think of the exact price atm, but around the $450 range.

I'd guess the answer is not payiing tax to an individual. There is the paranoia factor though, too with some folks.

It depends on the item, market value, so on so forth. Essentially for a shop to make a trade worthwhile we do indeed have to offer you less than wholesale. Say you have a Glock 17 in excellent condition. A gunshop can buy it brand new for $440. To make it worth the investiment on a used weapon they willl have to offer you less than that, as even if the gun is in brand new shape it will still be a used gun regardless if you fired it or not. Say a brand new Glock sells for $509. If you have say, $400 bucks in a used gun as a retailer, and try to sell it for I dunno, at $469 - what would the end user do? Personally, if there was just $40 between a new and used gun, I'd pay the extra for a new one. That's just me, though. Everyone is different, but generally a retailer has to put enough of a distance between a new and a used gun to make it worthwhile for someone to purchase the used gun. Most shops make far more money on used weapons than they do on new ones, as the margin can be much better. However, it really does just depend on the item being sold. In our case as I cant say anything in regard to other shops, if its a gun we've had for awhile we'd be more apt to offer you more for your trade than normal just to move inventory. Also keep in mind that you only pay tax on the difference of the trade. Say Someone trades in a gun and is offered $1000. Essentially they are getting $1097.50 on their trade since they dont pay tax on the $1k. That, in a nutshell, is how trades work with gunstores. Granted some will try to take more advantage of the situation than others, and there are other variables like how desirable some guns are than others, but thats how it works at the very base.

The Les Baer is likely due to dropping the slide on an empty chamber, will do that to a 1911 like that in a heartbeat. Yeah I'm working on getting better lighting down there, I have a hard time myself.

My Sig 228. I havent shot her in over four years and pulled her outa the safe the other day and thought... you know... I kinda miss this pistol. Took it to the range the next day.

Ive seen two different polymer Bushmaster's receivers explode. No thanks - I'll stick with metal when it comes to my AR. Yes I know I said Bushmaster haha.

She's a bit clumsy, but wouldnt hurt a fly otherwise. Our little min pin climbs all over her too. She does try to catch the squirrels and occational rabbit in our yard though... so far she hasnt had much luck.

Yeah not sayin she acts that way, just goin by the eyes in the camera haha. She's actually quite laid back.

But yeah, she's a hoss. 80 lbs and all muscle for a female doberman is on the large scale for the breed from what I understand. (faerie wings were the wifes idea...)

Here is the thing with that, if you buy a family membership and come on hard times and only use it once.... Just talk to me about it. I dont mind refunding most of it as I am used to having come on hard times myself. However just to cover my ass if you buy a range membership and come 342893462 times in six months and want a refund after that, I'm sorry =) =). Within reason!

Oh and extension 102 is Dennis's old extention, but it is mine now since he's hardly ever there and I run most day to day operations. .. and I can't figure out how to change it. =(

Even though I have it from three reputable employee's that you did, I will give you the benefit of the doubt, as I wasnt there myself. I guess I could always pull up the camera if I REALLY wanted to know for sure, but really I dont. I want this to be done and over with. My offer still stands.
