  2. lol That sounds good, we'll do it that way, then.
  3. It wouldnt be secret santa if everyone knows who they are buying for. However, I along with the mailing address I'll ask for a few things that person would be interested in, and what they absolutely cannot use - to give the people an idea.
  4. I'm in!
  5. Starting this early to give myself time to go through folks that would like to participate. This has been done on several forums I frequent, but to my knowledge it hasnt been done here. Basically, anyone who ops into secret santa will be pooled into a the group of folks who want to do it and assigned randomly to purchase a gift for another forum-goer. I'll set the monitary cap at lets say... $25. Once a reasonable time has passed I will ask that the thread be closed and randomly assign people to give gifts to their follow TGO members. Be creative! It doesnt have to be a box of ammo, or something along those lines. It could be anything! I will not disclose the username of the folks involved, I'll only provide address's to send the gift to. If you want to include your forum name with your gift, you're more than welcome to. I'll be compiling a list of everyone that wants to do this, and will get with you for your information. All I want in this thread is a simple "I'm in" and I'll get with you once the thread closes. I'll keep this going through Nov. 9th. So lets do this! Edit: Since I'm the one handling it, I'll probably opt-out of sending a gift myself since it wouldnt be so secret for me if I'm the one picking my partner. However if there is an odd-number of folks I'll pick up the odd man out. I hope they like geeky stuff!
  6. I was looking for a smiley that had a boner, but I didnt find one.
  7. Anyone ever looked into this? I always thought it'd be a unique, rewarding, and somewhat useful skill to be able to train and hunt with a bird. Apparently in TN you must apprentice with a Master Falconer for two years before getting granted a hunting license, though from what I understand.
  8. This is why I don't use Craigslist. Too iffy on wether or not that good deal your getting is really a trap. Call me paranoid.
  9. And no outrageous movie guns thread is complete without: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9pxjnl1yuXk
  10. I see your leg gun, and raise you the crotch gun.
  11. Just put a post up with a bunch of Weatherby and other rifles I need to move out. I will ship as well! http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/topic/52777-its-clearance-time-at-gl-take-a-look/
  12. I think we've run out of family members to operate any more gun stores.
  13. I'd imagine this isnt the last we'll see of Rick.
  14. Ever since they bought out Enix and decided that they would "modernize" the classic Final Fantasy formula with hand-holding AI and trivial battles it's never been the same. I surmise that Square-Enix will belly up within a few years. But that's not what you are referring to. Just wanted to get that out there!
  15. I was just commenting to a guy today that one of our customers sounds EXACTLY like him in the Green Mile. Like, I could just listen to the guy talk all day. Sad to see him go, I liked him as an actor.
  16. I'd cut the front sight off of it so you don't cut yourself slinging it into the nearest body of water
  17. I have several Cold Steel swords of various types, I just like them. Wouldnt ever dream of using one over my firearms, though. However, I ordered them almost three years or so ago and had no issues with shipping.
  18. Haha, that's what I was thinking.
  19. That notice has been up for months I believe, could be wrong. Either way whatever excuse they used it's not right just to put you off like that. I had a problem a month or so ago where a guy came in and bought a Palmetto AR from us. He got home and realized that the rifle he bought should have come with a flip-up rear sight that it did not have with it. Come to find out later the model he bought was supposed to be a flattop and not with sights, but we threw in the sight anyway. Why? Cause it's worth more than a flip up rear sight to us to have a happy customer, than a mad one. Word of mouth is far stronger than most people give it credit.
  20. Wow, that sucks pretty hard. Doubt I will be stocking many of their rifles in the future.
  21. Annnnnnnnd this thread just got interesting.
  22. News to me as well.
