  Sounds like a classic broken sear. Typically happens when someone carelessly drops the slide of a 1911 on a empty chamber repeatedly. Of course, no competent gunsmith would do that!   There, now me and Chad are even. :pleased:

    Was this the pistol I pulled? I remember pulling a 1911 for a TGO member because he was tired of waiting. Seems like this was around the time we were waiting for his equipment to come in too. I only wonder, because you'd be the first person in the years Jeff has worked with us that has accused him of doing shoddy work. I mean, that's just not Jeff.

I've never had any trouble out of Comcast. In fact, they've been downright pleasant to deal with thus far, saved me about $50 a month vs what I was paying them before just with a phone call to them. I think a lot of it has to do with how you treat them on the phone when you call, too.

This kind of thing sure has been happening a lot around here lately.

Not much of June has been posted yet, but I'd imagine there will be another 2 day in Hville beginning of that month too.

I played with one last night. I think I may have to have one of these. I didnt go to the shows this year, so I hadnt actually got one in my hands. Very impressed.

  This is true. You never know though, there could be that one person out there... kinda like there was that one person who wanted to shoot up a bunch of little kids. Honestly, I don't put anything past people anymore. Do you know what a "Bronie" is? Yeah.

The problem with this is any argument that you can make about video games, you can take out those words and insert "guns" and it sounds almost exactly the same. Instead of saying that video games (or guns) are an ingredient, and trying to make a scapegoat out of one or the other, the blame should fall onto the person doing the crime and that person alone. A person that kills someone with a lawn mower blade doesnt result in lawn mowers getting blamed when the guy watched Slingblade in 1996. It's not a perfect example, but you know what I'm saying.

So basically you guys are going to try and blame video games the same way the libs try to blame the guns?

If you supply the ammo and can come to the shop, I can let you shoot my Garand. I'll need to pull it out of the safe, but if you really want to, just let me know.   EDIT: As an afterthought, I will want to know what ammo you plan on shooting through it before hand.

What Dolomite said. We've had several high-end 1911's (Nighthawks/Ed Browns, and the like) have to be repaired do to folks dropping the slide on an empty chamber. Hammer follows the slide, just as he described.

In my experience alot of our denials are charges that have no disposition on file. Alot of guys that got into a fist fight 40 years prior and the charges were dropped or thrown out have no disposition on them and TBI just denies them. Not all cases mind you, but alot of them turn out like that.
