  1. I've been reloading 9mm for my Glock 19 (gen 1). Is this topic relevant for the 9mm as well? I have not reloaded any brass yet that was fired thru my Glock. Just wondering now if I need to keep it or scrap it? The brass, not the gun. Thanks
  2. The $20.00 ones in my link above work fine. If I find that these wear out or just aren't accurate, then maybe I'll invest in a more expensive set.
  3. For current shows I'm fond of The Unit and NCIS For classic TV, you can't beat catching reruns of Hogan's Heroes on TVLand.
  4. That's correct except it was for TGCA members. I went to the February show and it was full of vendors. Both up around the top "ring" and also down on the dirt. I went to the June show and was disappointed. There were only vendors around the top. Someone I know had a table there and he said on Sunday he slept in because the traffic on Fri and Sat was disappointing.
  5. I missed this one, but the last one was so bad, so I guess I really didn't miss a thing. I might try the next one, if that one is lame also, I won't waste my $10.00 admission.
  6. Need to get metal ones. Don't get plastic ones. I bought these ... http://www.midwayusa.com/eproductpage.exe/showproduct?saleitemid=119190
  7. I'm an Owl Hollow member, I couldn't make it for the meet but I did shoot after 5:00 on Saturday. There were a lot of shotgun shells in the small pistol pit. As members we are asked to pick up shotgun shells. Not sure if it was TGO or OHGC members who left them, but the range officer Saturday night picked them up. Just something to keep in mind. Thanks. Glad everyone had a good time. Wish I could've made it.
  8. This is courtesy of the wikipedia ... So a .380 is a 9x17, a makarov is a 9x18. I wouldn't shoot .380's in a makarov.
  9. I've got my decal on order. You'll soon see my red and gray primer Yugo traveling from Spring Hill to Brentwood sporting that decal. kidding about the decal and maybe the Yugo:devil:
  10. The .380 ACP (Automatic Colt Pistol) (also referred to as the "9 mm Short", "9 mm Browning", "9 mm Kurz", "9 mm Corto" or "9x17mm") pistol cartridge is a rimless, straight-walled pistol cartridge developed by firearms designer John Browning. It was introduced in 1908 by Colt, and has been a popular self-defense cartridge ever since.
  11. Very nice:no1:
  12. $101.26 including shipping http://www.berrysmfg.com/103.php $102.64 including shipping http://www.rozedist.com/mm5/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=RZD&Product_Code=R117-A&Category_Code=ZSB-45ACP
  13. I figured with .38spls using AA#2 and 125JSP, my cost was approx $6.25 per 50. It was roughly the same cost for the 9mm that I reloaded. Based on today's retail, my savings was obviously better for .38 spls. Haven't figured my cost for .45 acp yet.
  14. Sorry, I'm new to reloading and I've only used 230gr FMJ for .45s.
  15. I second that. Let me know if you're not going to get it.
  16. Where can I get one of those?? I'm feeling MACHO!
  17. I think it was about 4th grade that the shop teacher take the boys aside and tell them the rules about being a guy. Rule #1 - guys don't need directions Rule #2 - for driving, refer to Rule#1 Did I miss any?
  18. I reload 9mm and I've measured factory ammo to compare to mine. All the factory ammo that I've measured (9mm, .45acp, .38spl, .357mag) are all shorter by a few thousands than the maximum length for the particular cartridge. You should be fine.
  19. Owl Hollow only goes to 100 yards.
  20. That reminds me .... I NEED another gun.
  21. Someone recommended a Sig 220 over a Sig 1911 to me. I have a Sig 220 and a Kimber Custom Carry 1911. I like them both
  22. Currently I have about 1500 9mm with a "WIN" headstamp and about 500 with "R P" plus a few hundred others with CCI, Blazer, Speer, etc. I'm not too worried about a couple hundred milspec or S&B or any others that prove some difficulty in reloading. Thanks for the info.
  23. I have a Glock 19 from 1993 with the factory sights. I want to get some night sights on it but don't know much about them. Also, are they something that I can change myself or do I need a gunsmith? Any help would be appreciated.
  24. When possible try a gun before you buy. What I found useful was going to the range with a friend who owned a gun and hoped that someone would offer to let me try their gun. Don't ask, let them offer. My first gun was a Glock 19. Almost every gun after that was something that I tried (or similar) at the range. Don't get "talked" into anything. I have 3-.357 revolvers and love them. I also have semi-autos. What's right for me may not be right for you. Other info I sent you in a PM as well. Good Luck
  25. I guess I've made a subconscious decision to not use mil-spec brass. All of it I find goes in my scrap bucket. I pick up more 9mm than I can use so a few hundred mil-spec is not an issue.
