  1. That was one of the most enjoyable pistol only matches I've been to. Great stages and a great squad, everyone was there just to have fun. The barbeque was damn good to.
  2. That's the little brother to mine. Serial# xxxxx5561 & xxxxx5562
  3. LBL is under USFS managment. TVA gave it up a couple of years ago.
  4. J&T aka Doublestar and Model 1 also have kit rifles. J&T products are very well made, I don't know about Model 1
  5. Thank you, my point exactly
  6. I load my .40 to minor power factor and my XD has a fully supported chamber. If it didn't blow in a glock it damn sure won't loaded minor in a fully supported chamber. If I didn't pick up glocked brass I would have to buy most of brass and that isn't in the budget.
  7. I load Glock fired .40 brass all the time. I've never encountered a problem with it. A good sizing die will take the bulge out.
  8. Go to NTPS.org there are directions on the website.
  9. Hornady makes a good measure.
  10. Does anyone know if J&T distributing are there?
  11. That would be a squib load, no powder just primer.
  12. The primer does have enough power to push the bullet into the rifling but usually not far enough to chamber the next round.
  13. If you use dies other than Hornady you might have problems. I have a Lee fcd in the last station, I had to take a Dremel and make a notch in the die to clear the ejection wire. I think the ejection system is the presses weak link.
  14. It works fine if you keep it clean and put a .17 cal. cleaning rod inside the primer tube on top of the primers. It helps them feed smoothly and you can tell when you are getting low on primers.
  15. I have one and I love it. Most of the problems people have with the Hornady press are caused by the operator. I was also looking at the Dillon until I found the Hornady.
  16. It sounds like thats a light load and not fully cycling the slide. I beleive I load 4.0 gr. with a 147 gr. bullet, I'm not sure though because I've not loaded 9 mm. in a while, SO DO NOT REPEAT THIS LOAD without checking your book. Get a go no go gauge. You just drop the cartridge in and it checks several dimensions at once.
  17. +1 I think the up and down weather is the reason they aren't coming to the calls real well.
  18. Why would you be hesitant about loading 40? If you are a competant reloader and pay attention to the data its no problem. I have loaded and fired thousands of rounds through my XDs no problem.
  19. I'm a true believer in realistic looking decoys. Buckwing is the brand I like. A turkeys sense of smell is not good at all, but he makes up for it with his sight.
  20. For what its worth I killed two turkeys this weekend and they both came down a hill and around a feild instead of coming over the hill which would of been closer. From my experience a turkey is alot like a human, it would much rather take the easiest route. Try a crow call in the afternoon and an owl hooter just before dark to located a roosted gobbler.
  21. I planned on being there but I got my money in late and ya'll were full
  22. If I'm paying for the ammo, targets and range time I will shoot at what ever part of the target I want. If a particular range has a problem with that I will take my business elsewhere. Pollitical correctness disgusts me.
