  1. Mine didn't. It was the most expensive gun I've ever owned and the most unreliable, go figure.
  2. This article is just ignorant. http://www.tennessean.com/article/20090313/MICRO03040505/90313018/1621/MICRO0304
  3. Weaver V-3, cheap and good quality. Low powered variables are the way to go on an AR IMO
  4. There is alot of good tips and things here: http://www.brianenos.com/forums/index.php?act=idx
  5. I dry fire practice once a week, which is not enough.
  6. What kind of competitons are you interested in? I like USPSA and 3 gun.I don't have the money or time to live fire practice alot, the best pratice is to shoot as many club matches as possible. You will learn more and have more fun than standing on a line and shooting at staionary targets. If you have the land you can set up a IPSC type stage and shoot it different ways and see what works and what doesn't. The best practice you can do at home is dry fire, practice reloads, dry fire, practice reloads and so on.
  7. Assault weapon is a term for a weapon that a liberal wishes ban because it looks bad, evil or dangerous.
  8. The PC term is "sporting arms"
  9. My XD has done that when shooting alot of lead. Lead will build up on one side of the chamber and cause a round to stick. I grip the slide with my weak hand and hit the grip with my stong hand, hard.
  10. So what was the cost? I've been wanting a 22lr conversion but everyone seems to be out of stock or over priced.
  11. I've seen that sign, I beleive it is just before the sign for the rifle range. I always thought that was kinda stupid
  12. I have been and I won't be back. I guess I should have made myself clearer, I like USPSA because of the higher round count. I have never shot more than 100 rounds at a regular club level IDPA match except in Manchester, they sometimes have a high round count. My point was if I'm going to travel any distance, it's going to be to a USPSA match because of the higher round count and the freestyle stages. I like both USPSA and IDPA, I just prefer USPSA.
  13. I shoot USPSA and IDPA, I enjoy both and I suck at both equally. I prefer USPSA over IDPA because of the higher round count and the fact that it is not dictated how to shoot the stage. I'm usually the guy with the most procedurals at any IDPA match I go to. I will not travel any distance to an IDPA match because I don't want to spend all day and a bunch of money on gas to only shoot 50 rounds. Every USPSA match I've been to has had a round count of 100 or more, which is a good thing if you ask me. I think the attendence to most matches is down this year, USPSA or IDPA. I think its because of the price of ammo and the crappy economy in general.
  14. +1 It's well worth the drive!!!
  15. Mid-South Shooters Supply is a mail order company in Clarksville. They have great prices and you can call in your order and pick it up at the door to avoid haz mat charges.
  16. The NRA is about the only friend we have lobbying for us. The elections and liberals are all the NRA have talked about in their mag. and TV ads. It seems that all the NRA bashers want to blame someone. Obama got elected because the liberal media convinced over 50% of the US that everthing that is wrong in the US is Bushes fault. Dont blame the NRA.
  17. I think I will have to keep my 3rd Saturdays open then.
  18. Robert F. left his SBR at home and brought a bolt gun:taunt:
  19. I'm guessing that the 85 yd poppers will be on the woods walk section? Too bad ya'll couldn't get them out to 100, then everyone would be talking about their old eyes. It sounds like fun I plan on being there. I would bring the bull barrel, it shouldn't matter that much.

    XD Owners!

The Springer Precision trigger upgrade kit and trigger bar does wonders for the XD. http://pistolgear.com/products.php?id=15 Pistol Gear are great people to deal with also.

    XD Owners!

I've got an XD with a crisp trigger, it's not 1911 crisp but its far better than a stock XD and it's light years ahead of a Glock.
  22. I think Palin would make a better canidate than McCain. The liberal media wants her to appear clueless.
  23. There is not a single issue that I agree with Obama on except for the economy and I don't believe Obama or McCain can fix that. There is no quick fix for the economy no matter what they say. I am a carpenter and the economy has cut my income in half, but I am not and will not give up might rights and beliefs because Obama says he can fix the economy, there is more at stake here. I know people that are voting for Obama just because of the economy and they have no idea where he stands on all the other issues and they don't want to know, it makes no sense to me. It seems that everyone has taken what the media says as the gospel and not done any research on their own about either canidate.
  24. From the looks of the scores it looks like you can shoot it pretty good!!
