  1. Thanks. I had already heard of him over on arfcom, just thought there might be someone here in town. I checked out his website and will give him a call.
  2. I'm wanting to get a suppressor and would like to set up an NFA trust in order to give my wife and family some legal protection and also make it easier to pass it on in the event of my demise. Anybody know of a good attorney in the Jackson, TN area with NFA trust experience?
  3. I woke up early this morning unable to get back to sleep, so I poured a cup of coffee and stepped outside for a smoke. As I walked out toward the garden, I heard something rushing toward me in the dark. Three deer came around the corner of the garage and piled up to a stop about 10 feet from me. We all stood there frozen for a few seconds and then they bolted out across the garden blowing and snorting. That's when I realized I was crouched in a two hand stance with my G27. I don't remember drawing or making the decision whether or not to shoot. I picked up my spilled coffee cup, finished my smoke and went back in to check my drawers and pour another cup.
  4. Are you saying you think The Obamination will try to take away our second amandment rights? He has promised us he only wants to take the evil guns off the streets. After all, it's for the children.
  5. I'm leaving this morning, be back Sunday evening.
  6. Anybody else here going to Knob Creek this weekend? Been going for a few years now. Neat to see all the different weapons and the mini-guns are a real blast. I usually come home dead broke with a truckload of ammo and parts. Last fall I had to break one of my cardinal rules and use the CC to put fuel in the truck on the way home. I'm taking MrsMeister and the Meisterlettes with me this time. Got a motel with heated indoor pool 'cause I'm betting it will take less than an hour for them to get their fill of the show.
  7. It's working for me now and I'm able to post new threads. Thanks. I did notice that Russian AK listed in the classifieds is no longer available for viewing since it's apparently sold. I never even got to see the listing. I'm not in the market for one, but I like looking at the pics and keeping up with what things sell for, even if it's something I'm not particularly interested in. Anyway it can be fixed where someone can still view the listing after the sale?
  8. I've been a member here for a few months, but don't post much. Two days ago, as per the rules in effect at the time, I made a contribution as a benefactor so I could list a pickup truck and a couple guns for sale. This evening I find my two-day-old ad has been moved to the archives and I am not allowed to start a thread to list the guns. Would it not be fair if there were a "grandfather clause" for those like me who followed the rules that were in effect before the change?

    Milled AK's

    No rivets.
  10. She got a good looking sister?
  11. Centerfire has AR carry handles for $40. http://www.centerfiresystems.com/MNTAR102.aspx The new polymer coated Wolf is great ammo, I shoot it in my AR15s all the time with no problems. However I suggest not using the lacquer coated in an AR. The lacquer can build up in the chamber and result in stuck case. I know several who have learned this the hard way. I run the lacquer coated through my .223 AKs. The looser tolerances ofthe AK lets it digest it without any problems.
  12. Last year I bought an "old Russian rifle" for $70 out the door at a pawn shop in middle TN. It's a Finnish M91 with Austrian capture markings.
  13. Get you a can of Bulgarian yellow-tip heavy ball surplus. It will rock your world in that little carbine. The muzzleblast and fireball will make the AR guys at the range stare in dis-belief and then just hang their heads in shame.
  14. Actually very few I haven't shot. Lot of Mossberg .22s, Milsurps from all over the spectrum including .22 trainers, Mosins, Enfields, straight pulls, and of course many many Mausers. I've never shot the same rifle twice at my club's high-power matches.
  15. Yes, they're all mine. That's looking into my vault at the larger part of my collection. It was cheaper to build a secure vault than keep buying safes. Two cameras -- one inside, one outside, both on continuous loop recorder, monitored alarm system, two easily triggered canisters of teargas and pepperspray. Off the top of my head, calibers I have are 8x57, 8x56r, 7.62x51, 7.62x54r, .303, 7.5x55, 6.5x55, 7.65x53, 9x19, 9x18, 9x23, 9 Largo, 7.62x39, 7x57, .45acp, , .380acp, 7.62 Nagant, .32acp, .32 S&W long, .30-06, .243 Win, .257 Roberts, 7.62x25, .40 S&W, .223, 5.45x39, .270 Win, .17hmr, .17 mach 2, .22 mag, and of course .22 short, long, longrifle. I'm sure I missed a few. I reload most of the centerfire rifle calibers.
