And the only true winners of this are Ohio Art stockholders. Why oh why don't I have this in my porfolio? http://www.nydailynews.com/news/election-2012/etch-a-sketch-stocks-soar-aftermath-mitt-romney-eric-fehrnstrom-gaffe-article-1.1049662

Interesting. When you do a google image search for "hoodies" the overwhelming majority of models are preppy caucasians. When did hoodie = black thug and why? -

Self-appointed neighborhood watch captain. Some of the residents actually feared him. -

http://www.cbsnews.com/8301-504083_162-57401619-504083/author-of-stand-your-ground-law-george-zimmerman-should-probably-be-arrested-for-killing-trayvon-martin/ The authors of Florida's controversial "stand your ground" self-defense law say George Zimmerman should probably be arrested for shooting Trayvon Martin, reports the Miami Herald. "He has no protection under my law," former Sen. Durell Peaden told the newspaper. It is the fact that Zimmerman ignored the 911 operator's advice not to follow Martin that former Sen. Peaden says disqualifies him from claiming self-defense under the law. "The guy lost his defense right then," Peaden told the Miami Herald. "When he said 'I'm following him,' he lost his defense." -

I got a notice this is in the Sentate today, but the calendar says tomorrow? -
Not when you show the 12 -18 year old demographic an hour of this: And 2 seconds of this: Big WIN at the box office. Big FAIL at getting kids to think, "Guns are bad m'kay." They did do a better job working on the REAL threat, their mothers: http://en.wikipedia....llion_Mom_March Nothing says "gun control" like your mom asking, "But WHY do you NEED a gun?"

Hollywood was already doing this long before 1994. Lethal Weapon movies were basically subliminal anti-NRA ads. . . that simultaneously made everybody want a Berreta M9. Using Hollywood to influence political policy doesn't work when violence sells tickets. And Marion Barry turned out to be a pretty crappy role model. Silly Holder, brainwashing's for kids.

They discussed this on the Talking Dead show afterwards. The third season is going to be about them learning to live in this zombie world instead of just reacting to it. Cue the girl with a sword and zombie camo to teach them how its done.

This. Unless one of your group lights up the barn, there is no reason to do anything but keep really quiet in the house and let them walk by without wasting a single bullet. Remember the walker on the highway? He didn't try to break into every car he saw. He only returned because they made noise. Same with the house. Just shut up for 30 minutes, hop in the car, head for the prison.

It all went off without a hitch, though Baumgartner said it was just a bit cold at that attitude — more than 75 degrees below zero. “I could hardly move my hands,†he said. “We’re going to have to do some work on that aspect.†This presentation has been brought to you by: Good luck on the final stunt!

Jury finds Va. Tech negligent in '07 shootings

Wait a minute. I thought banning guns would help avoid lawsuits. Not only did they not avoid lawsuits, but they're actually losing them? Perhaps a different strategy is in order: http://concealedcampus.org/ -
CYA action for Major General Mark Gurganus. I understand it. However, if I were Panetta, my first order of business after learning of this would be a quick call to the Major General saying, "I want ALL my marines armed at ALL times. Especially when I'm with them!"

How about African Americans for Romney? https://www.facebook.com/pages/African-Americans-for-Mitt-Romney/329999860367367

I was hoping Romney would take TN and then we could get down to the real campaign. Now, it's back to more infighting. Obama must be loving every second of this. If the Republican base can't stand Mitt, how are independants expected to love him all of a sudden and carry him to the White House? To be so close and yet so far must be taking a physical & mental toll on him. I fear Obama will simply cruise into the debates and just wear Mitt out. If Romney can pull this off, I think my respect level for him will jump several notches based solely on his superhuman endurance.

Employee Safe Commute (Parking Lot) Campaign
raydog1 replied to Worriedman's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
They gave some pretty weak answers to the, "How will this affect your businesses?" question. We should ditch this legislation because: 1. FedEx is safe (but they can't guarantee it) and this will make it unsafe (but they can't provide any statistics to support this). 2. It might scare some international students away because they made the mistake of getting an education in the Patron State of Shootin' Stuff. 3. They actually do need a good reason to fire people because now, the terminated individual can claim racism, sexism, and gun-ism? Is that all they got? -
I think they should've continued the interrogation. Find out exactly where the other survivors are and do some recon. Killing the kid won't keep the "others" from looking for the clearly well-supplied people who killed their comrades, and fought the rest to a stalemate. That kid's their only source of info on the outside world. And that world is obviously closer than they previously thought. And more hostile.

Knox Co. man wants gun laws changed
raydog1 replied to Garufa's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
Wouldn't it be nice if you could just walk into Bass Pro and walk out with a bag full of supressors. It would solve a lot of these noise complaints and (big shocker) not increase crime one bit. Thanks NFA -
Blunt talk about potential for ammunition shortage
raydog1 replied to QuietDan's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
Freekin' Great! Just like the stupid fuel shortage we had, this is going to be an ammo shortage caused by a rumor of an ammo shortage. I was wondering why the only 9mm FMJ ammo at Bass Pro last week was 250 packs of UMC and a few boxes of Winchester SX9. -

In before the end. Seemed to go well today. Nice arguments but I expected more opposition. Guess we'll hear it in 2 weeks. Beverly Marrero gave it the ole Memphis try though. -
Rutherford County Carry Permit Class
raydog1 replied to Ttitan27's topic in Handgun Carry and Self Defense
I will third CIS. Unless they've changed since I took their permit class, you'll get exactly what you're looking for from them. -
I guess we're all delusional. What's the point of carrying anywhere then? I've been to many churches and have yet to see one with any more security than Kroger, Walmart, any mall parking lot, etc. I guess nobody with a gun can stop criminals. Especially in churches, huh? http://www.thedenverchannel.com/news/14817480/detail.html

Anti-gun protest at Starbucks on Valentine's Day
raydog1 replied to LagerHead's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
I didn't see any protests at the West End Starbucks yesterday evening and the morning "line o' cars down the street" didn't seem any shorter either. I guess it was a Brady Bunch Bust.
