  1. I think you already know the answer to that question. Besides, what would be the purpose of such an organization? Why would a majority need organizations to assist itself? Out of spite of the minority organizations? Out of fear that the minority orgs are actually raising the self-esteem of its memebers and helping to eliminate the fear they have of the majority? Is this really such a negative thing? Does it really threaten the majority as a whole in a tangible way or is it just a perceived threat to a few in the majority who just decide to be vocal about it? And why exactly do they perceive that threat? What is there to fear? Context is very important in these matters and I believe Len & towerclimber37 did a great job providing that. It takes time for social change. And many unforseen factors will affect the speed and method of that change. I'm sure there will come a time when we will see these minority organizations disappear. But, they will only be replaced by other minority orgs. I'm sure a minority of some type will always exist in every country, and perhaps it won't even be about skin color in the future of the USA. Who knows?
  2. I've heard that fly both ways. Whites accusing blacks of voting for Obama because of reverse racism. If you agree with the homosexual agenda, then you're a f*aggot. And the world goes round and round. . .
  3. "I hope you have a happy and safe holiday." Yeah thanks! As long as no bad guy decides he doesn't like the jeans I'm trying on at Old Navy and then decides to express his anger with my fashion choice by gunpoint, I'll be sure to have a happy and safe holiday.
  4. Never let her go! And if you do, make sure you get a good lawyer. (She might get that gun back, lol!)

    GLOCK CLIP

Didn't someone post a story not too long ago about someone shooting himself in the sack with a glock in his smart carry holster? Something about the trigger managing to catch on something in his pants while he was walking the dog and then BANG! I just wouldn't feel comfortable with my G19's trigger not being securely covered.
  6. My Mossy 500 is the one gun that all the chicks dig shooting! Suprising to me because I would think they'd like the handguns or the 10/22 plinker better because of the recoil. I guess it's like driving a SUV. Something about all that power at your fingertips.
  7. No worse than the Hello Kitty AR http://blog.riflegear.com/archive/2007/12/26/hello-kitty-ar-15---evil-black-rifle-meets-cute-and.aspx
  8. Agreed. . . As long as "the truth really no longer holds much sway in this country" doesn't include the birth cerificate rumors as "truth" and "all we can really do now is work to ensure that most of his policies fail, using the remaining checks and balances available to us" doesn't include internet gossip as "checks and balances available to us." I think we will see weapon bans hit us like lightning in 1-2 years if we don't move beyond this crap and fight with facts, education, and civil debate.
  9. People walking off the job because an election result. To feed themselves for the next week, month, year how exactly? I have a feeling the truth would make much more sense.
  10. Maybe evolved from this story? http://embeds.blogs.foxnews.com/2008/10/24/woman-who-quit-call-center-over-anti-obama-ad-attends-biden-event/
  11. Funniest thing I've read all day. Mostly funny because some people will really believe this and spread it 'cross the interwebz like wildfire. Can't wait to read about this on Snopes.com in 2 years.
  12. Short bio from Huffington: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2008/10/27/obamas-chief-of-staff-rah_n_138240.html "His combative style as political director in the early days of the Clinton administration earned him the nickname "Rahmbo." He didn't always produce results, though. Emanuel lost that job but stayed on as a senior adviser and oversaw some of Clinton's top initiatives, including NAFTA and an assault-weapons ban." Edit: Leaving to buy some .223 ammo NOW!!!
  13. The superintendent was not happy with this. But, the parents of the little girl say, "There should be no repercussions at all." http://www.citizen-times.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=2008811080340 "Cumberland County Schools Superintendent William Harrison called the statements inappropriate.“I was shocked when I saw the clip of an interaction between a Cumberland County Schools teacher and her students as posted on YouTube,†Harrison said in a statement. Harrison said he has started an investigation and would “take appropriate action.†The superintendent made his own statement on YouTube about the matter. “Most disconcerting was the military slant that made its way into this discussion,†he said. “We are a military community, serving over 15,000 military students and their families. We value the sacrifices, not only of the military parents but also those of their families.†Cumberland County is home to Fort Bragg and the 82nd Airborne. Cathy Thompson said Friday she wasn't upset at the time. Her parents, Angela Moore and Army Staff Sgt. Robert Thompson, also said they weren't mad at the teacher. Moore said her daughter never mentioned feeling as if she was being picked on. “Mrs. Harris is always active with the children like that,†Moore said. “I have sat in her class when my Cathy was a student, and she was very active with the children. She tries to get them involved with everything.†Robert Thompson said when he first watched the clip Friday, he understood why some would see it as Harris trying to change his daughter's mind. But after hearing Harris' side and talking with his daughter, he now thinks Harris is “getting a rough deal.â€
  14. Such an easy and affordable way to say to our politicians, "I believe in my 2nd Amendment Rights." They don't count forum posts in D.C., they count dollars. And I believe our NRA dollars can only help us.
  15. The average American does not have and will never have access to the White House War Room. We are dependant on the free press for information on Who, What, When, Where, Why and How. This is how opinions are formed of our elected officials. Especially in an atmosphere of distrust. And many of us here distrust most if not all politicians. O'reilly and Woodward interview showing a good example of this:
  16. What's done is done and now is the time to focus on the future. We must hold the line when it comes to our 2nd Amendment rights! I hope that means an unprecedented rise in NRA memberships, our keen awareness of all proposals that affect our right to keep and bear arms, and the continuing education for those unduly influenced by the anti-gun atmosphere prevalent today. As cliche as it may sound, I can't help but to feel this now more than ever: God Bless The United States Of America
  17. Don't let the TV coverage give you the impression that those leaders were appointed by anyone, nor should you believe that they represent the majority of ANY ethnic group. They are self-appointed. They only choose easy and sensational cases that grab headlines and avoid any issues that would make "real" change for people. And if you sit down and talk to any educated black person or group of black people, you'll find that they are probably as critical about them as you are. Even the most radical extremist will find a crowd of cheering fans and guess where the camera is always pointed. When you have this conversation, mention reparations and apologies. I bet you'll get plenty of laughter. Nobody in their right mind really expects these things or feels that they have a right to them. The only "leaders" who advertise this crap are people who feel they haven't been quoted enough this year. It's too bad that the only thing that makes news are the fringe element. Violent criminals and media whores. None of whom represent the vast majority of Americans (of ANY color) who just want to live in peace with their neighbors and have a little extra money in their bank account.
  18. Or a S*it-In Protest? http://elections.foxnews.com/2008/11/04/man-parks-manure-near-democrats-campaign-office-protest-obama/
  19. If polling sites are gun-free zones, then they should be pet-free zones. That includes cats of all kinds. Especially panthers!
  20. You just know the media is salivating over a KKK/Skinhead response to this. I'm sure they already have "hate group experts" with microphone in hand, waiting for this to blow up. Last thing we need today.
  21. Remember this: "The suspects, Paul Schlesselman (18) and Daniel Cowart (20), whom officials describe as neo-Nazis, were charged with making threats against the presidential candidate, illegal possession of a sawed-off shotgun and conspiracy to rob a gun dealer. Obama himself downplayed the plot yesterday, saying there was no room for hate groups in America anymore. Reuters reported that the charges preferred against the suspects read in part that the suspects allegedly planned to rob a gun store and then carry out a killing spree at an unnamed predominantly African American high school." Should we be suprised about an extremist response to news like that from. . . well. . . extremists on election day? This is a law enforcement issue that needs to be swiftly dealt with by law enforcement. NOT other extremist groups.
  22. Nothing fancy here either. I just put a decent Nikon on it, extended mag release and auto bolt release. And, of course, the cheesy clear mags. I don't have the heart to tac this one out just yet. I'd like to keep it "pure" for now. Pure death to aluminum cans & water bottles.
  23. I did some patterning of my Mossberg 500 last month. Mine patterned better with Federal 3 inch magnum 00 Buck at 7 yards. If I remember correctly, I think that was a 4 inch pattern. The other targets from top to bottom: Federal 00 Buck 3' magnum at 15 yards (and a few slugs), Winchester Military Surplus 2 3/4' 00 Buck at 7 yards, Remington 00 3' Magnum Buck at 7 yards. Please pardon the chicken scratch on the targets.
  24. Now it's time to ummm . . ."personalize" it (or "ugly" it depending on your perspective). I hope you enjoy your Persuader as much as I do mine.
  25. Ruger sent me a coupon and a discount code for their online store everytime I registered a gun with them. They advertise the code, but the coupon was an extra suprise. I also like that you can register online with them. IMHO, every business should give you that option (and something free for registering).
