  1. I'd like to apologize. . . for feeding AKer. This guy caused one heckuva chain reaction.
  2. I'm gonna miss this guy. It's like reading the posts of a 10 year old Obama, pretending to like guns so he can make conversation on a gun forum. That's what I'll call him. . . Lil' Obama.
  3. I've had good experiences with Centerfire so I can vouch for them, but Classic Arms also has some. Classic Arms Inc. $340 there.
  4. CNN talking head this AM believes the court will side AGAINST gun control. He doesn't believe Sotomayor will make one bit of difference. The host was a little taken aback by this and they didn't have a gun control advocate for rebuttal (host wasnt' up to the challenge). I don't think they're ever going to invite that guy back.

Possibly the Best SFW Biel Pic Ever!
  6. NRA-ILA's youtube channel has been reporting regularly on this group. They've reported that several mayors left the group once they realized that they were really against ALL guns. Not just "illegal" guns. It was just a matter of time before they made their move.
  7. The new Saigas are finally out. They just showed up in CenterfireSystem's catalog for 370 bones: Centerfire Systems, Inc. - Your Home For Ammo, Firearms, Magazines, and Gun Accessories
  8. Thanks for posting this. I don't have a 1911 yet but plan on getting one soon. You may have just saved MY mattress in the future. BTW, that entry wound is impressive! Tell the wife you were just looking for an excuse to take her shopping. I too would be interested in seeing pics of the rest of the carnage. Helluva "war" story for sure!
  9. I just saw a truck go up the road. I'm hooked! I'm so gonna be watching this until Beer:30.
  10. I could've sworn Southwest's policy once stated that they weren't responsible for stolen firearms/ammo, but I don't see it now: Southwest Airlines Travel Policies - Guns and Ammunition
  11. WHAT??? How can this be? Was $100,000,000 for the bid not enough? I think we need a bailout for the USOC.
  12. Same experiences here. BNA always makes it easy (especially Southwest), but coming back can be a different story. Detroit was pretty annoying for example. They had to call some guy from the back, I had to wait on him, he went to a different area than the one I was in so they had to call him back again, he actually went through the case with a fine toothed comb, he had to fill out some paperwork, blah blah blah.
  13. I think my dad saved my life by showing me his gun when I started getting curious about "that strange box" on the top shelf of the closet that I couldn't reach. My curiosity got me into a lot of trouble when I was a kid (fire, electricity, animals, etc.). After he showed me the gun and actually let me shoot it, I lost all interest in guns until adulthood. I'm pretty certain I could've easily been a gun accident statistic had he not done that.
  14. A guy in my HCP class had one and he let me shoot it for kicks. It gets my And he had no malfunctions.
  15. It depends on who you talk to there & when. I've had a mixed bag of experiences. Mostly good, but on a couple of occasions around lunch time, it seemed like I had to really pry to get any info out of a guy at the counter. I felt like he thought I was an undercover cop trying to get him to sell me some weed or something. And this was when I was the only soul in the store. I've only used Tennessee Police Supply for transfers. He was great to do business with and I'd use him again in a heartbeat.
  16. I can't believe that only 3 other people voted for pancakes. I don't recognize this forum anymore.
  17. Is the "good deal" from a private seller or from a gun store? If the latter, how much? I wouldn't mind grabbing one of these myself but this model seemed to sell out like hotcakes during the Great Obama AR-15 Clearance Event and I haven't seen them since.
  18. Every review I've read has been positive for a starter AR. If I recall the American Rifleman review correctly, it's only missing the forward assist and shell deflector. I've been looking at them too.
  19. I admit, I'm greedy. I want it all! I want to be able to carry where I please, but I'm willing to negotiate. I have no problem leaving the gun locked in the car if my employer feels uncomfortable with me carrying inside the building. So to employers: Can we meet halfway on this? I also agree about smokers. Kegger & PapaB get thumbs up from me!
  20. Please stop raining.
  21. I hope he doesn't bother buying lottery tickets, playing slot machines, or driving on I-65 because all of his luck was used up THAT day!
  22. I swear on all that is holy, if they screw up this movie . . . :tinfoil: The A-Team (2010) I mean come on, Rampage as BA??? Was Michael Clarke Duncan busy or sumthin?
  23. This reminds me of when Spike Lee's Malcolm X movie came out and people (black & white) started wearing Malcolm X t-shirts. So many different "meanings" for wearing that shirt and many of them quite noble. But, to other segments of the population, it meant pure hatred. I remember very similar arguments over that symbolism.
  24. Wow, I would hate to see them go out of business. . . but, it wouldn't make me very upset to see my Saiga become a collector's item.
