I'm sure they're just tired of the BS lawsuits everytime some fool does something, well . . . foolish with a Glock in hand. Reminds me of that website some guy created when he shot himself in the leg while cleaning his gun. He took full responsibility and used it as a teaching moment for others. Too bad everyone doesn't think that way.

Unfortunately that was a hoax. It was really pics of Kim Hiott.

Chris Matthews - WEST POINT WAS THE ENEMY CAMP FOR OBAMA
raydog1 replied to a topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
Matthews Apologizes to to West Point Cadets | Fancast News "Matthews said on his show Wednesday that he had gotten "some very tough calls" from former cadets and parents of cadets, who told him the audience of military officers and officers-in-training are trained not to show the kind of emotion that he thought was lacking. He said he had no reason to assume that those in Obama's audience were more hawkish on the war than the president." "I've heard too many politicians say, `Oh, that was taken out of context,' to explain something they wish they hadn't sent," he said. "Let me just say to the cadets and their parents, former cadets and everyone who cares about this country and those who defend it, I used the wrong words and, worse than that, I said something that is just not right and for that I deeply apologize." -
Chris Matthews - WEST POINT WAS THE ENEMY CAMP FOR OBAMA
raydog1 replied to a topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
The reporters mentioned before the address that he would not get the same reception we're used to seeing because they are professionals. Not because they carry a grudge. And after he finished, all I saw was a large group of cadets who seemed very genuine in their desire to shake his hand, take pictures with him, etc. -
OK, that had me laughing Right on The Floor! Back on topic. . . Any of you insider gurus have a price point on these yet? I need to know how many family members I need to sell to get one in .45.

"Rep. Curry Todd, a main sponsor of the measure, said he hadn't seen the ruling but disputed that the law is vague. The Collierville Republican said he will introduce legislation in January to fix any legal problems. Todd said he will also ask the state attorney general to appeal the ruling." Judge strikes down Tennessee guns-in-bars law; 'fraught with ambiguity'

I know good things aren't meant to last, but geez. . . less than 5 months???

Waitaminute, I've been dating her AND her mother for the past 3 years! When did she start cheating on me? Well at least I still have her mom.

Uh Oh! Insurance Scam Shenanigans. Actually makes more sense than some folk stringing up a guy just to ward of the gubment.

How's the SP campaign so far (assuming you were able to tear yourself away from MP).?

UPS......LEARN YOUR POLICY!!!!!!
raydog1 replied to timcalhoun's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
I'd like to recommend the UPS store on West End as well. That owner was formerly a FFL and knows his stuff (and he's just as frustrated with all the BS restrictions as we are). He gave me zero hassles and even educated me on do's & don'ts for shipping firearms in the future to avoid problems. On a side note, I worked at Kinko's in college and left right as they were transitioning to being FedEx Kinkos. Total nightmare. They only gave managers the real training. The rest of us either had to guess or call the support line when we had a question with no manager around. Most of us didn't know jack about the regs. And when in doubt. .. we usually said "Sorry, we can't ship that. K Thanks Goodbye!" So be prepared when dealing with the front line grunt. -
PC Recommended: CPU: 2.4 GHz dual core or better RAM: 1G for XP; 2G for Vista Hard Drive: 8GB of free space Video card: 3.0 Shader Support recommended. Nvidia Geforce 7800 or better or ATI Radeon X1800 or better SWEET! I got this except for the CPU (I come close though). May have to run it on low settings, but I think I'll pick this up. Loved every other COD game, I think this one will be no exception. I'm in.

You weren't kidding about the marketing push. Now they're selling "Pocket Pistol" lifetime memberships for a grand and tossing in a Keltec. I know they've got huge legal settlements to pay off to some of the original members who sued them. Might explain the new push.

Just to give you some hope, I was told the same thing by a surplus store in Nashville a few weeks ago. Literally laughed at me for even asking. They just got an aisle-full of them.

You mean the insanely fine Ziva. Agreed!

But when you got a monthly editorial from a guy named Chris Cox and a regular article titled Dope Bag, is it wrong for me to expect just a little T&A in the magazine?

Suddenly, my American Rifleman subscription seems so boring. The only chicks I ever see in AR is the skinny "Thin Is In" girl from the Walther ads. But the Ruger 556 was pretty hawt on last month's cover. Man, I need to get out more.

You only have to do this every 1000 rounds.

+1 I do the 3 coats/hair dyer treatment on all my guns. After regular cleanings I put a very light coat on the manufacturer recommended areas (but this is probably not even necessary).

I remember not long ago, Front Sight members were selling vouchers on ebay for $100 that would get you into many of the "cool" classes that cost thousands. But you'd still have to pay for ammo, travel, lodging, etc. Don't know if this is still going on but you might want to look for those vouchers before paying full price.
