I'm probably interested in one. I'd like 007 if it's available and price is in line with my budget.

He said the last Protech TGO - I was hoping that meant there may be more, just not ProTech.

So we're getting close to the July rush of last year now right? -
Guys I've got a few new guns to learn about, left to me by my Granddad. Any comments on what I've got here appreciated. Don't know much about them and have no idea how old or valuable they are. I do know that someone has been in the trigger on Winchester, because that trigger is scary sensitive! One is missing a front bead, I'll need to replace that. The winchester has a few rust spots. And it looks like he intended to refinish / re-blue the barrel as it's been rubbed with steel wool or something. Need to look at how to best handle that. Winchester Model 97, Mossburg 500C and a Marlin JM Stamped Glenfield. Appreciate any comments.

I bought two boxes of this stuff. One for my neighbor who was going shooting with me, and one for myself. I didn't get into my box after watching her load/shoot her box...and I don't plan on it. This is some of the nastiest ammo I've ever laid hands/eyes on. Hands were grayish black with oily metal based residue. Looked like she had just pulled an engine 30 year old oil leaking car. Curious is it was just these two boxes...Oh Shoot, have you opened the box yet?

I was following this thread. A group of us here have printed the target and will be trying the challenge. Then, I started off into the "how to clean a squirrel". So I want to ask you seasoned squirrel hunters. I heard in one video that I saw, a guy said it was best if you leave the squirrel meat in the fridge for 3-4 days after cleaning it. He said it would take the game taste out if you let it sit in the fridge for a few days. Comments on this? I see recipes where the squirrel is fried for a bit first, then stewed in a gravy for an hour or so. This looks really good! I'm going to try it.

I knew it was a "me" problem. I just couldn't see how at the moment. Thank you for showing me the way!

I'm in the exact same spot. Find myself just going back to to the old classifies envying those that can still post/bump their listings. I like the old view alot better because you can see alot more listings in one screen by text only. The images take up alot of space, and don't show nearly as many listings on a page. I'll get used to the new system eventually...because I have no other choice.

will do.

that makes alot of sense. Glad I posed the question here. So are you using an external illuminator?

So I've got a gift certificate for Optics Planet and have been looking at thermal imaging for awhile now. Still in the heavy research mode. Not going to spend over 1K at this time...unless I can find good reason to increase my budget. That leaves me looking t the lower end of thermal products to be sure. Just wondering what if any experience everyone has w/ thermal products. Any input and feedback on products appreciated. Here's one I'm keeping on the list. http://www.opticsplanet.com/leupold-lto-tracker-thermal-imaging-monocular.html

I'm right there with you. Thinking March or April of next year... -
welcome Brian! Shelby County here too.

Thanks guys. I'm leaning towards the PTR as well. I do think Century is a better company now than they used to be quality wise. I'm going to run it suppressed so it'll be a bit more ungainly than stock...but it's purpose will only be short field trips.

Looking at getting one or the other. Are there some here that can provide feedback on these rifles, after having owned and shot them for awhile? Thanks

so we're still a few month's off from the 41F change. I put a few in that last day myself. Guessing I'm looking at spring or summer of next year at this rate? -
I've had this video posted up to watch for a few days now. Finally go to it. Nice work! Just starting the 6.5 journey here. Best to you!

thanks! I've got the Spuhr rings on the way. Excited!!!

Does anyone have experience with this mount on a rifle like mine? I'm wondering if the comb will offer enough adjustment down for an acceptable cheek weld. Scope is 2.26" OD, leaving .1" of clearance (not counting the fact that there is no rail at the forward end of my rifle) for the scope to clear. http://spuhrwebshop.com/en/picatinny/sp-3001.html

thank you, I'll study on that as well.

Hi all. I've picked up a Ruger Precision Rifle and a Vortex Viper PST 6x24 to 50mm scope. I need a little assistance selecting rings for this setup. I've never really put something like this together and have little experience mating scopes to rifles. I've read that the RPR has 20 MOA build into the rail. I also plan on running my Socom 7.62 suppressor, and want to clear this in my field of view. Would this set of rings be appropriate? http://nightforceoptics.com/accessories/ultralite-magmounts. Or recommendations on others that are more functional?

So a group of us here in Memphis were talking about becoming Constables and looked into the HR218 allowances. Looks like the legislators have ruled that Constables don't fall into a category that would allow HR218 carry, but I did run across an interesting provision for towns having between 11,100 and 11,200 people. Anyone know where in the world this came from? "Any duly elected and sworn constable in any county having a population of not less than eleven thousand one hundred (11,100) nor more than eleven thousand two hundred (11,200), according to the 1970 federal census or any subsequent federal census, and being a county in which constables retain law enforcement powers and duties under the provisions of §§ 8-10-108, 40-6-210, 55-8-152, 57-5- 202 and 57-9-101, are authorized to and may carry handguns at all times and may equip their vehicles with blue and red lights and sirens. The sheriff of such county shall issue a written directive or permit authorizing the constables to carry a handgun; provided, that each constable has completed the same eight-hour annual firearm training program as is required by this subsection (a) " https://www.tn.gov/assets/entities/attorneygeneral/opinions/op13-110.pdf
