  1. I'd add that spending time building antenna is going to be extremely beneficial to you as a learning opportunity. Antenna construction is often very easy and much less expensive than buying them commercially. Check out ac6v's site - I've referenced it for years as I researched various things in the hobby from tower construction to home made antenna. http://ac6v.com/antprojects.htm
  2. Looking at some night vision gear and would like to know if anyone here has experience with White Phosphorous and the Green filmed tubes? Interested in hearing your opinion on the differences between the two, other than the obvious color. Thanks
  3. Hey guys, I just picked up a new PMR-30 and took it out for testing yesterday. Out of the first magazine I had at least 6 rounds that would not fire. I'm using one of their recommended ammo's (in the manual). The Winchester Super X 40 grain. I realize testing a different ammo type is next up, but I'm just wondering if any of you have experience with this gun and have comment. Is there something I can look at or check for issues here? Feeling disappointed that this new gun is acting up like this.
  4. I've been out twice now and not seen one single squirrel. Wish that wasn't the case, I am excited to try my hand at cleaning them...and cooking them.
  5. I meant this to be a legitimate question, not a knock on the product as it may read in hind-site. Just a serious question.
  6. following as I've been interested in a PSA AK.
  7. we've got some rough times ahead I'm afraid.
  8. can't wait to give this a try! Seems so easy.
  9. so I think I'm going to hunt them for the first time this year. I don't know anything at all about cleaning them. Time to learn up.
  10. David do you ever have trouble drawing out of these holsters? I have one for my G19, and sometime have trouble drawing - I've wondered about going w/ the kydex insert on my next one because of this.
  11. Yes for sure. I don't know what that vote is worth since it's my first bolt gun. I have nothing to compare it too. As for ease of shooting, I give it a 10!
  12. I've got the RPR in 6.5 and love it. It's my first bolt gun, and first time shooting long range. I got the Strelock app, and the PST 6-24. I sat a friend down at the rifle who had never shot long range either and both of us were hitting a chest sized target at 630 yards with consistency. Very impressive, very fun to shoot and this will definitely take a deer on my land very soon! I hope to have my range out to 900 yards by the end of winter. Can't wait!

    LWRC's DI rifle

I do not but have been eyeing them. Would like to see one in person!
  14. I'm using ones like this. I like the volume of product - that's what it's all about in my opinion. Slightly lengthening the time between recharging. I recharge every other month in the oven. No odor of any kind. Bake toss her back in the safe. Since my safe is indoors, and my A/C does humidity control, this is really doubling up for me, but I like to watch the stuff turn colors anyway. Seems to work well for me as I've had no indications of moisture.

    Glock Gen5.

with the removal of finger gooves the bar went way up for me. The 19's have never fit my hand until now.
  16. you only had one gun, the SKS, a few days ago...
  17. bought in March of this year and DNS zone changes in the past few weeks. Definitely trolling for traffic.
  18. I'd guess his entire intent was to get clicks to the site he linked to at the end of his post.
  19. or asking a man how many head of cattle he owns
  20. I have this gun and love it so much. Good luck with your search!
  21. I read this as well. The military models aren't subject to the issue due to them already having a lighter trigger. Literally lighter, not the pull. http://soldiersystems.net/2017/08/08/sig-sauer-acknowledges-p320-trigger-issues-with-30deg-drop-m17-mhs-unaffected-announces-voluntary-p320-upgrade/ "Although SIG was already working toward introducing the MHS-inspired Enhanced Trigger to the P320, this -30deg drop issue has hastened their effort. They have lightened the Trigger, Striker and Sear by about 30% overall and added a Disconnect (commercial only, not MHS). The trigger pull weight is unaffected, but rather the trigger part actually weighs less. The reason they lightened those parts is to mitigate the momentum gained by the heavier parts during a drop. Taylor laid it out, “There is a vulnerability with the P320 at the -30deg drop.” They plan to incorporate the trigger enhancements for the M17 into the P320. They’d been working on them, but implementation wasn’t imminent. Based on what they’ve found, that has been accelerated. Details on their voluntary upgrade program will follow soon."

  23. Paper Filed 7-12-16. Approved 7-3-17 and received by post 7-15-17. So it seems they may have avoided hitting the 1yr mark for wait times - that's very surprising to me.
  24. wow! That's some destruction. That SAW was just getting warmed up.
