Any update here. Seems like the drain is clogged at the department of bureaucracy...

Dave I've looked at this some more this morning. When I go to "manage my content" and them "forums" my "follow" on the Firearms Classifies section ONLY shows up when I follow the forum by clicking to it from here (https://www.tngunowners.com/forums/forum/39-firearms-classifieds/). Clicking to the forum from the header bar link (https://www.tngunowners.com/forums/classifieds/category/3-firearms-classifieds/) does NOT result in a "follow" or show up in my followed content to manage. Curious to me. May be completely unrelated. Just trying to help. Note: I just saw where the Post Update notifications are coming to my old email address - not the gmail address that shows up in my profile now as my Email. That is also very curious to me. Is there another spot where email address for notifications should be changed? I'm probably just overlooking it.

Which Categories section should we be subscribed to? Both?

Yea it's the same for me - I'm getting email notifications of post changes like this comment I make right here will generate an email to me that I WILL receive. It's the classifies emails that don't seem to be coming. I actually own a web-dev company (that doesn't mean I know how to write code ) so I definitely understand where you are coming from. These things can be tough to find. I suspect that the mailing/notification daemon in the classifies plug-in is at fault somehow, but that' without really knowing how things are setup. I'd be happy to chat/call and see if there's any other ideas that come from it. Were you following me on the different URL's I found for the classifies sections in my previous post. I also suspected maybe that was related to the code not firing email notifications. Appreciate your efforts.

I'm right there with you. Frankly it's the largest reason I pay to be a member of the forums - and I'm not able to make best use of the one feature I value most (hawking the classifieds).

I correlate the new classifies section with no longer receiving the "wallet depleting" forum updates. Research on the site shows that there are actually two classifies sections on the site now. I also see these are independent "forum subscriptions". I was subscribed to the old forum - I'm now subscribed to the "new" forum linked by the header menu. I realize the content is the same, but the url's and subscriptions are different. I wonder if this is somehow related to what's going on with notifications. I did get a notification from updating my post - it went to my old email address not the new one I entered a few days ago. It's also strange to me that it came from trending@tapatalk.com. Maybe the tapatalk module needs to be re-synced to the website if it's the middleman for update notifications on the site? Also, no other messages in my new gmail inbox or spam from trending@tapatalk.com since the email change to this address.

I changed to gmail from my personal email, I've not received any emails on any subscriptions prior to the move or after the move to gmail. I've searched my gmail inbox including spam for messages from noreply@tngunowners.com and the only message I have from that address is the "address change verification" message that came thru, and I clicked, during the address change procedure. I miss getting notified of classifieds changes and additions...but my wallet appreciates it. Now I'm going to click the "notify me of replies" button on this post - see see if it's truly isolated to the classifieds in my case.

I noticed the slide was marking the frame when I racked it a few times. I thought that was odd. It made metal shine on one side of the frame. Probably hadn't been racked in many years. I also noticed the slide had markings on the right side, and I thought I'd read the slide would be blank on period correct slides.

I just imagine my wife going thru the same ordeal when I'm gone.

I did strip it but did not find a serial number on the slide. I guess I didn't look hard enough. I do see a few stamps on the frame though that look interesting.

Hey all, I've had a friend pass, and his widow has offered to me his 1911. He picked the gun up from an attic of an Officer who had passed when he bought the old house where the gentleman lived. He's had in an a drawer ever since. Wondering if you guys can help me understand what we have here, and what a fair price to offer her would be.

I was just looking at the VP9 from a grab a gun email. This is a better deal by a good bit! If only the barrel were threaded too.

I've had problems with Frog Lube and cold weather. The stuff turned into a paste like substance causing my bolt to have trouble operating properly on my AR-10. I quit using it after that experience. Now I use CLP and rem oil.

My Grandad was the ran the B-52 maintenance and repair shop - he was also a machinist. I wish I'd paid more attention to what was going on all those years I piddled in the shop while he made things. I picked up some of it, but not nearly what I could have.

I have a model made by IBM! Being into technology, I am especially fond of and fascinated by the manufacturer.
