  1. Love my 22. Even with +p rounds, it is the softest shooting 9 I have when the conversion barrel is in.
  2. Up for sale is a Bear Creek .223 Wylde... yes it will shoot 5.56 with no problems. This is a complete factory firearm that I bought awhile back from Bear Creek Arsenal I have never fired this one but I do have other firearms from them and they have worked flawlessly. If you've never heard of them, they are American made and I think they are on par with Palmetto or Anderson. Here is a copy and paste description with the Sku included if you want to check it out on their website. BC-15 | .223 Wylde Rifle | 16” Parkerized M4 Barrel | 1:8 Twist | Carbine Length Gas System | 15” MLOK | No Magazine Sku CR613N-223WCM41618P-15M3 I would like to get $450 for this or possibly trade for a Gen 4 Glock 23... maybe a 43 or 43x Live in Manchester, work in Murfreesboro but will travel a resonable distance.

    Air Rifles

I did the same, researched Air gun forums for weeks until it gave me a headache! lol The reason I descided on the Hatsan vortex edge is its was a no frills rifle without the wooden stock but still had the gas cylinder instead of the spring and iron sights to get me through the break in period. Break barrel Air rifles are notorious for being scope killers because of the violent double recoil. I have since bought a UTG scope with eatched glass ( because of the recoil) and it has worked great for me after a few hundred rounds. Holds zero perfectly, clear glass, 3x12 zoom with a 10 yard to infinity parralex... it was more than the rifle at $150 but a drop in the bucket compared to bigger name brand Air rifle rated scopes like Hawke and the quality is still top notch and built like a tank! More than good enough to do double duty on my AR as well. Pcp rifles are very cool with being semi auto, for a few shots until you have to pump it up again or change out the tank, and mags and all but it takes all of 5 seconds to fire, reload, and be back on target with the break barrel. I went with a tool over a toy....at this time.

    Air Rifles

I recently picked up a cheap Hatsan vortex edge in .22 for $100 on Amazon to keep the squirrels out of my attic. I'm happy with it for what I paid. Its made in Turkey and the barrel is supposedly made from German steel instead of the Chinese pot metal. It's not a tack driver and the trigger was stiff even after I adjusted it but I bagged 6 tree rats the first day out of the box with the "iron sights" from about 20 yards with a 16gr. Pellet traveling around 800 fps. After the damage they were creating, I feel it paid for itself and my little Mountain Cur feels he finally has a purpose in his back yard. It was pretty loud when I first got it but after about 300 pellets through it, it is considerably more quiet. My neighbors aren't right on top of me and I do have a privacy fence but I have asked them if it bothered them and they never knew I was shooting it.
  5. The article lost credibility to me when it said ".... the grip should fit 95% of shooters." I find that hard pretty to believe from a 15 round double stack .45. The thing does look pretty tall though, maybe they stagger the rounds like in the Shield.

    Gen 4 Glock 21

I think if I were to dish out that kind of money I would probably just go a little more and get a P227... Or the 21 and a half case + of ammo.

    Gen 4 Glock 21

Wow! I did not know that. 17 rounds would make it a beast!!! I would have to start doing some curls so I can keep it on target!

    Gen 4 Glock 21

Thanks for the comments. Im not looking to carry but to get one as a range toy and a HD/nightstand firearm. I've had the M&P and it was a pretty good fit for me but the Gen 3 I tried was way to large for comfort, for me, but I never really have it a legit chance.... good to know.

    Gen 4 Glock 21

What's you opinion on the Gen 4 and comparison to the grip radius between M&P full size .45 with small backstrap vs Gen 4 with no backstrap.
  10. On Target is pretty helpful sometimes. They have changed out sights for me and not charged me. Their Smith is a pretty good guy also but I can't remember his name. He is just in there a few days a week.
  11. I used to go to Fall Creek of Mona Rd. and it was always good to me but it's been a few years since I have been there.
  12. Hey ringo20001, Does yours not already have the factory adjustable rear sight on it or is it just worn out? You could contact EEA corp./ TANFOGLIO. They have all the parts that you would need as far as springs and such but I am not sure about a direct replacement sight. They have a great coustomer service department and am sure they will help you. I used to have all the contact info and could probably dig it up for you if you would like.
  13. My favorite M&P. I have the APEX poly trigger, comp springs, Talon grips, extended mags with X grips on the 45c... AWESOME! I am very picky and notorious about buying and then selling for the most simple of reasons but have never even though of letting this one go. Nice pick up Tercel. Love the back strap.
  14. I have one in .40 and you are more than welcome to try it out if you ever make it out to Manchester. After I put the Hogue Jr. grip on it, my wife loves it better, shoots it better and handles the recoil better than all of my guns. She shoots it so good I have been thinking about selling it. lol
  15. I think so. 3 pins apposed to 2 pins and a latch and the M&P has the take down tool attached that can be used as a slave pin or to push the pins out but wouldn't recommend with new pins....they are in there a lot tighter than Glock. I like how easy the trigger bar connection is on the M&P over the Glock. Other than that, the slide release and a few little things, they are exactly the same... but different. lol
  16. Thanks Wolf for putting it in laymen terms for me. This is the first time I have ever seen the Mountain gun and as much as I like the .45 and the idea of finally owning a Sig., they aren't going anywhere. I am VERY happy with my M&P .45c. and it may be a long while before I have a chance to try out the 686+ Mountain again. Plus it adds the .357 mag to my stable. Thanks TGO for helping me get through my indecisiveness!!!
  17. Thank you. I did not know that was an option on gunbroker. I am not so much looking for a monetarily "good deal" but more so looking for the pros and cons. I know that, typically, people who love Rugers don't like Smiths in the same way and I know that people who love the AR platform are the same when it comes to the Mini 14. Never hear anything bad about the Sig...except from the Glock fans who call it a dated design. I think I have ruled out the Mini for now and leaning towards the Sig because it is similar to the CZ... kind of.... unless someone can educate me on how great the 686+ is with the unknown to me, Mountain Gun barrel.
  18. I knew you would go with the 686 wolf! lol Do you know anything about the "Mountain barrel"?
  19. I have a PCR and really like it although I am not much of a 9mm guy. I have put it up for trade and have had several great offers but have narrowed it down to three potentials and was wanting a few different opinions on what would be the best deal. I think I already know but I do not have a lot of experience with any of the three. The first and most likely is a Sig P220 like new with STR, A 580 series SS Mini 14, low round count with trigger job and a ton of extra mags. And a 686+ that has a 4" Mountain barrel Is there something special about the Mini or 686+ to make me not go with the Sig?
  20. I like the Med. on my f/s but I sanded my large grip down a little on the sides and then stippled it because I like how the large strap blends up on the beaver tail and it works for me. Sometimes I use a Hogue sleeve on the small grip at the range and really like the Hogue Jr. on my compact.
  21. I have countless rounds through all of my M&P's and have never had a problem with them other than the recoil spring on my .45c falls out on it's own when I field strip it. Kind of strange but never has hurt the function on it. IMO... easiest gun there is to detail strip and coustomize to your needs. I just got done changing the sprirgs out from the Apex duty to the competition and added the new Apex poly trigger and it is insane!!!! If I didn't have the thumb safety I would have never done it cause it brings the trigger pull down around 2 pounds but it makes my .45 lights out at the range.
  22. Thanks for the advice and I agree, the Shield is a great all around firearm. I have one in .40 and will put it up against anything in its class and although I really like my 3rd gen Smiths... IMO... if I could only have 1 ccw and had to choose, the Shield would be it The P9C it is heavy but that is one of the things I like about it so much. That and you are the only other person that I have ran into that has one. lol I will send you a picture after I mod one of these CZ mec gar mags I have laying around if it turns out well. Thanks again!!!
  23. Being targeted by the National media with false allegations where you are seen guilty by mass public opinion and never stand a chance to regain the life you once had even though you are innocent. Oh wait... you said irrational
  24. How can the race card be played so easily in this day and age and insinuations be made that the Federal Government and the system has disregards towards minorities? Not only do we have a black President but he was RE ELECTED! 50 years ago blacks couldn't drink out of a "white only" water fountain! That is more of a progression of any race EVER! Al and Jessie...try to really do something for your race's progression and talk about black on black crime every once in awhile and stop chasing that ambulance so you can stay relevant and keep mony in your pockets! It is the year 2013 not 1913
  25. "We demand justice for Trayvon!"?!?!? Justice WAS served! Just because someone tring to protect their commumity and asks you a question gives you no right to be combative and assault that person! I guess he has never heard of "never bring a knife to a gun fight".  This has nothing to do with race as the media has tried to push down our throats! It is all about how some people( the youth of today and or the "99%") think that their should be no repercussion for their action and should be rewarded when they really need to be held accountable.  GZ DID NOT SHOOT a boy in the back or a boy that was trying to avoid a situation or a boy that was on his way home to his mommy while eating Skittles! He shot a young MAN that was beating his head into the sidewalk. JUSTICE SERVED!
