  1. I love to drive. Its one of the things that I enjoy the most. For me, its the drivers that are uneducated, pre-occupied, or just simply too arrogant to let traffic flow a smooth pattern. Recently, I've encountered too many distracted drivers who find its my fault when I'm trying to drive safely and enjoy my commute. Soccer mom in her huge SUV on her phone, yelling at her kids, taking up two lanes wasn't helping at all this morning.
  2. Kimber Eclipse Pro II in IWB CompTac or Galco kydex holster. Both tend to be appendix carry. I like having the pistol at my front rather than to the side or behind.
  3. The only friend of mine who uses "whilst" is Cartel. Sent from my Nexus 4 using Tapatalk 2

    Got my Tavor

Figured that was you.. I'll be by on Monday or Tuesday.
  5. I'm working on my bag at the moment. Went with a Maxpedition Falcon II. I have a Surefire light, Leatherman OHT, SpyderCo knife, Swedish Steel fire starter, and a Katadyn bottle. I'm going to start building my trauma kit (parents are doctors) and starting to research some MRE substitutes to keep in the back. I've got a basic emergency kit from REI with a safety blanket, mirror, etc.   Learning more and more.
  6. I love my 1911- Kimber Eclipse Pro II. Its the build quality of the 1911, the smooth action, and for me, the best groupings I get out of any pistol I own. I carry mine on a regular basis. With the 4" barrel, it can be tucked away. Granted the load count is only 8, I know that those 8 shots will go where I want them to. The 1911 feels perfect in my hand.

Verne, I am very pleased with the Tavor. It feels rock solid when held with the "Israeli Grip". I'd love to hear how yours does suppressed. I read about gas blowback and leaking thru the body of the Tavor. It was a topic in the BullPup Forum.

Which shop are you at? I'll bring it by!
  9. I had bought both for my G19. I stuck with the Storm Lake. It did take about 200 rds to break in the barrel, but it cycles all factory loaded ammo. I run a YHM Cobra M2 suppressor on mine.

    Got my Tavor

Hershmeister: I had one on order thru Nashville Armory.
  11. It is real. You would have to register it with the ATF on a Form 1 I believe. Never seen one in person, but a member on another forum had one. Its definitely 'tacticool'.

Back from the range!    The recoil is barely existent. I can keep the irons on the target after each round. I had a misfeed but that was due to user error, Cartel can attest to that, hopefully the video got deleted.    Trigger wasn't bad- its nothing like the Geissele on my SCAR 17- but factory trigger was smooth. Bullpup design fit well, buttstock has good padding. No shells in the face as there is a raised piece by the ejection area that pushes the spent shell forward. Overall, I'm impressed with the initial run. Looking into a RDS, maybe Aimpoint T1/Micro.   Got to try out Cartel's Remi 700- very nice setup! Young lady next to us jumped every shot!

RWF: I haven't put any round thru it yet. Hopefully get some range time this weekend. I'll report back.
  14. I carry 95% of the time. If I can't take it I to a building or area, it stays locked in my vehicle. Feel naked without it. Sent from my Nexus 4 using Tapatalk 2
  15. Exactly. I've already decided if I ever win the lottery this will be a required addition. Sent from my Nexus 4 using Tapatalk 2

  18. My. Kimber Eclipse Pro II is a dream to shoot. I enjoy my G19 as well, but would rather carry my G23 for edc if it was a toss up. My favorite pistol in my collection is the FNX 45 Tactical in FDE. 15 rounds of 45 with a controllable firearm good groupings. Sent from my Nexus 4 using Tapatalk 2
  19. Put me down for one. I'm sure Cartel would like one as well. Sent from my Nexus 4 using Tapatalk 2
  20. I picked up 5 as well. Sent from my Nexus 4 using Tapatalk 2
  21. Cool Springs Wally had some wwb 40 and 45 as well as some tula 308. Sent from my Nexus 4 using Tapatalk 2
  22. I agree on them not being the same round. I shoot 308 thru my Scar 17 and it was designed to handle that round. Sent from my Nexus 4 using Tapatalk 2
  23. Went to Academy this morning and asked for a Winchester box of 7.62x51 and a Monarch box of 308.young cashier said I could have one or the other. I've bought one of each before. He claimed that it was the same caliber. I tend to disagree. I was in a hurry so I bought my 7.62x51 and left. Anyone had this experience before? Sent from my Nexus 4 using Tapatalk 2
  24. And I learned something new :) Sent from my Nexus 4 using Tapatalk 2
  25. Very nice. Monarch is Academy's house brand of ammo. It shoots fine, but can be a little dirty. Sent from my Nexus 4 using Tapatalk 2
