  1. This stuff really makes me and my wife angry. She shoots better than I do, but I showed her a few moves I learned back in the day just in case. Ears can be ripped off, noses can be torn, collar bones can be shattered, balls can be removed. To hell with any leftist bastard that tell a young lady this nonsense.
  2. Hello friend. Welcome.
  3. Glad you guys are ok. Sorry to hear the other driver didn't make it. That sounds like a really hard wreck. You have to wonder what the other driver was doing
  4. I've had one of these for a year and a half. It's been great. Use it every day.
  5. This is why morons without a clue should stick with those dogs that fit in a purse. At least Paris Hilton didn't try to sport a Staffy.
  6. I think better should only mean what you shoot better. If your a better shot with a Glock, then there's your gun. If your more comfortable with a 1911, then great. You might prefer a revolver. Anyway enjoy your Sig op and may it serve you well.
  7. I think the demand on these retailers is drastically underrated. For a long time it was just people like us ordering a hammer here and a barrel there, but now it's order insanity. It's not stopping either. My last order from Midway took a while and it was tiny. I would not be to harsh with these stores right now there just overwhelmed. And just hiring some low end minimum wage workers to handle fire arm sales is probably a bad idea.
  8. LMFAO!! You better get get back!
  9. Rule #1 of Beard club, never shave. Rule #2 of beard club, never shave. Rule #3......
  10. Welcome fellow native.
  11. Holy cow!! Lucky cop.
  12. First I will say to know without a doubt it will go bang every time, aside from bad ammo, get a revolver. They work every time. But if I'm ever in a bad situation I will grab any of my 1911's without hesitation. I think they also carry just as well as a Glock, or any other pistol. It is all about preference for your carry weapon. I just suck with a double action trigger. I just can't practice enough with one to get decent. I don't know why but I am naturally better with a single action, especially a 1911. If your a better shot with a Glock, get it. But if ever it comes to a fight, I pick my Les Baer over anything hands down. Always do what feels best to you. If its a Glock, 1911, or a off the wall CZ do what feels best.
  13. It has a safety, it's at the other end :)
  14. Good job. Also good you thought of safety first. I've heard a few horror stories at the ranges of late. A .22 is maybe the most fun round ever made. Now go get a 1911 and don't look back :)
  15. Glad your back.
  16. My wife never shot a gun before we met. First time at the range she was afraid to even pick one up. Started with a .38 fired a couple dozen, then to the .45 went through about 50 rnds before she was starting to shoot groups. Three weeks later was running through mags with a full auto Mac 11. I think a lot of those YouTube vids are fake. But the one with the Arab guys shooting the elephant gun is halarious.
  17. Oooo yea, cj1911 heaven. Best prices on new!
  18. Ah Massad, total Badass. Welcome.
  19. There are some good suggestions here. I do like the Dan Wessons, but I love Les Bear. Try and look at some high end used ones. Les, Ed Brown, Wilson Combat are all great. I even picked up a Les Baer from 92 on gun broker and it runs like a dream. Also I think 3000 is on the high end of new models. You should even be able to pick up a new lower end Les or Brown for low 2000's. Don't be thinking there lower models are not freaking awsome too.
  20. Why do they need an anger management class?
  21. I'm on the south side near Brentwood and it's a great area. You may want to look at The Landings complex in Brentwood. It's right next to Franklin too. It's a very nice area but the prices may be a little steep. And yes stay the hell out of Antioch.
  22. Good to have you here.
  23. I would guess Guns and Leather as a best bet. My wife loves her 1911. She took my Springfield GI model and won't give it back.
